Abstract:
A novel method of fabricating a film-like liquid crystal display directly on a temporary supporting glass plate is presented. This approach is based on coating a UV-curable adhesive on a glass plate to form a flexible substrate, and a printable polymer-added liquid crystal is then applied on the substrate. By this approach, a flexible liquid crystal display can be fabricated by a cost-efficient coating technique, and it can be scaled up to any size.
