Abstract:
In this manuscript, the phase transition factor ( F t ) was suggested as a design rule for high piezoelectric voltage coefficient in (K 0.5 Na 0.5 )NbO 3 (KNN) based ceramics. The F t consisted of the tolerance factor and electronegativity difference. High piezoelectric voltage coefficient was observed when the doping ratio for the starting point of phase transition ( x * ) was higher than 0.04 in KNN based ceramics. At the range of F t 〈 -0.01, x * was higher than 0.04 and high g 33 value ( 〉 30 mV·m/N) was observed in KNN based ceramics.
