Abstract: COVID-19 has rapidly affected consumer behaviour and perception towards risk decisions. The variations in consumer behaviour have consequences on everyday life during and after the lockdown. A comprehensive theoretical and conceptual framework of consumer behaviour during the pandemic COVID-19 has been developed which was supported through grand models of consumer decision-making, facing situations during and after COVID-19, household members, income factors, employment status, education and gender which was collected by survey. Such a type of survey has not been conducted in previous literature. Consumer behaviour is measured through a multi-dimension index (health, education, daily and large households’ purchases) using the principal factor analysis. Results showed that all the social and economic factors have different effects on consumer behaviour during the lockdown. It demonstrates that after lockdown it would be very difficult to normalize consumer behaviour in the business sectors. For the sake of growth in the business sector, it is necessary to address all these fluctuations in consumer behaviour. The households of the districts Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan of Pakistan were selected as the target population for the study. Primary Through the use of a questionnaire & randomly stratified test, data from 300 families were obtained. Approximate least[1] squares and quantitative approaches were used to evaluate the data. All results have been proven experimental and stated the situations faced during COVID-19 have positively and significantly affected consumer behaviour and these results followed with grand models as education, income factors, gender and employment status have significantly affected consumer behaviour directly or indirectly. Similarly, employment status, education, marital status, gender and household members have a favourable and substantial impact on the circumstances faced during COVID-19 and income factors played the mediating role. The current study concluded that the pandemic COVID-19 changed consumer behaviour along with social and economic factors during and after the lockdown.

Abstract: Cotton is regarded as a cash crop in Pakistan and the country is ranked 5th in terms of production and 3rd importer in the world as well. Cotton production in Pakistan is under huge pressure and it's continuously declining over the period. This review aimed at exploring the different reasons for the cotton production decline. This review comprises two major sections. In the first section, percentage change in area, production and yield of cotton in Punjab, Sindh and Pakistan is calculated from 1990-2020. This analysis indicated a drastic decline in area, production and the average yield of cotton in the country. In the second section, previously published literature is consolidated to explore the different constraints causing change in the area, production and average yield of cotton. The major constraints causing the sweeping decline included environmental constraints, climate change, water-related constraints, agronomic constraints and socio-economic related constraints. This study concludes that cotton crop decline is not in favor of cotton associated industry, farming groups and national economy and it is much needed to bring reforms for the revival of cotton crop. This study urges further research on exploring the reasons that are compelling farmers to reduce the cotton area, quitting cotton cultivation or switching to other crops.

Abstract: In developing countries week and dispersed link has been shown between agriculture and human diseases. In this regardpresent review was conducted and revealed several examples that there exist strong link between agriculture and diseases. Reviewcategorized the major disease into zoonotic, vector borne and food associated. Zoonotic diseases were found to be transmitted by thelivestock. Some of these diseases are also associates with vectors that were found to be transmitted by the agriculture. Mosquito is themajor vector transferring malaria, cholera and skin diseases. Agricultural intensification is the major source of their climate changethrough increased emission of green house gases. Agricultural intensification, ecological disturbance and inadequate agriculturalmanagements are the dominant reason revealed. Rate of future agricultural diseases such as zoonotic diseases emergence orreemergence will be closely linked to the evolution of the agriculture–environment nexus. Meanwhile, the available research is not enoughto address these issues. Agriculture sector is for peace and sustainability and to strengthen this sustainability there is dire need ofConvergence is needed between integrated pest management strategies and integrated vector management strategies to help farmersimprove their agricultural practices while minimizing environmental risks to health. In addition, further research by the medical scientistsand agricultural scientists is needed to explore the epidemiology of various diseases caused by the agricultural activities throughpromotion of vector.

Abstract: We explored the contribution and effectiveness of state and non-state institutions in rural development efforts in highlands (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [KPK] province) of Pakistan. This study employed mixed-methods research design and data were collected from 300 household heads, randomly selected from six villages from two purposively selected districts Mansehra and Nowshehra. Findings showed people in KPK were deprived of due to conflicts, conspiracies and terrorism, poor governance, small landholdings and subsistence farming followed by sluggish marketing system, insufficient education and training for people, and inadequate employment opportunities. Regarding contribution, non-state institutions had more contribution as compared to state institutions. T-test analysis showed that the non-state institutions had an effective provision of agricultural extension and forestry advisory services, education, health services in remote areas, skill development, and provision of microcredit schemes. The results of F-test statistics showed highly significant difference among the perceived effectiveness of rural development activities of different types of non-state actors (localite, cosmopolite, and religious/faith-based) working in the research area. This study recommends state-owned rural development departments revisit their working mechanism and develop synergistic working relationship with the non-state institutions in discharging rural development efforts.
