Abstract:
Boarmia selenaria Schiff, is an important pest of avocado in Israel. In the laboratory, 20–30‐mg larvae could be grown conveniently to maturity on avocado leaves and on alfalfa, and to a lesser extent on cotton leaves. Attempts to culture the larvae on leaves of sugar beet, eggplant, strawberry, lima beans and maize, and on potato tubers, failed.
