Abstract: Aim: The aim of this study is to reveal whether there is a difference in coping methods with family stressors according to the remission period of alcoholics in remission. Method: Between May 2022 and December 2022, the study was conducted in a Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, an Alcohol Addiction Treatment Unit, an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment Center and Alcoholics Anonymous Sıhhiye and Kızılay Groups in Ankara. While collecting the data, the sociodemographic information form prepared by the researcher and the Methods of Coping with Family Stressors Scale were used. It was collected from a total of 59 people, 31 people in the early remission group and 28 people in the permanent remission group, who were in Ankara, who agreed to participate in the study, who lived together with their partner, who were in remission for at least 30 days. In summarizing the results; mean±standard deviation, median (interquartile range), number (percentage) descriptive statistics were used. Results: Of the patients who participated in the study and were in early remission; 12.9% were female and 87.1% were male; 17.9% of those in the permanent remission group were female and 82.1% were male. It was determined that there were significant differences between the sub-dimensions of coping with family stressors, seeking social support and physical exercise groups. Conclusion: It is observed that alcoholics in the permanent remission group use physical exercise and seek social support more frequently than those in the early remission group. It is recommended to support models that cover all dimensions of alcohol addiction, which has biopsychosocial and spiritual dimensions, during the treatment process.
