Abstract:
In cooperation with external artists and the city of Frankfurt a. M., institutions for children and youth work offer cultural-aesthetic workshops at an extremely low threshold in order to enable adolescents to participate in extracurricular cultural education. First results show the possibility of sustainable effects and a promotion of social, personal and technical skills. While the relationship between children and adolescents and the artists was identified as a key success factor, the institutions are struggling in particular with the provision of funds and premises in order to be able to implement cultural-aesthetic education offerings in social work in the long term.
