Abstract:
Axial has re‐inflated to 85%–90% of its pre‐2015‐eruption level but inflation has slowed and the next eruption still appears to be years away The rate of inflation has varied with time and the last two eruptions appear to be linked to a surge in magma supply that is now waning The rate of seismicity is dependent on both the level and rate of inflation consistent with a physical model of inter‐eruption behavior
