Abstract:
The decision making process encompasses the application of different decision making models, each of them concerning a specific situation. Among them, one can cite the political, anarchic, procedural, and rational models as the most important ones. For this paper we utilize the concepts of Choo (2003), since they are the most important works in the literature about the subject . We, thus, analyze each model proposed by the author. From the analysis of the models it was possible to establish relationships between the models and the way through which organic information - produced internally to the organization -, participates in the decision making process, more specifically in the scope of each model. Finally, from the inferences carried out, we propose a new decision making model, which supporting basis is organic information.
