Abstract: Background: Assessing students’ learning readiness has become more important to establish on-target learning and teaching environments, particularly since blended learning and online learning are widely implemented in medical education. This study aims (1) to examine the reliability and validity of Online Learning Readiness Scale (OLRS) and (2) to identify the levels of online learning readiness for blended learning methods using virtual reality and its associations. Methods: A cross-sectional study with 102 fifthyear medical students was conducted. The data were analyzed through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Pearson correlation analysis was utilized to investigate the relationships among dimensions of OLRS. Results: The VN-version of the OLRS scale consists of 16 items in four dimensions, namely Self-directed learning - SDL, Motivation for learning - MFL, Computer & Internet self-efficacy - CIS, Online communication self-efficacy - OCS. Confirmatory factor analysis indicates the model fit of the OLRS scale in a blended learning course context. The composite reliability and construct validity of the scale was found to be within the acceptable range. Students showed high readiness for blended learning course, of which SDL was the dimension having the highest score of readiness, followed by MFL and CIS dimensions. There were positive correlations across all dimensions of OLRS (p 〈 0.001). Statistically significant associations were found between gender, health professional orientation, computer self-efficacy and their experience of medical education environment and dimensions of OLRS. Conclusion: The results indicate that the OLRS is a reliable and valid measurement tool in the assessment of online learning readiness levels of blended learning course using virtual reality. It is recommended to develop a reliable scale to assess the perceptions and readiness of instructors undertaking the move to blended teaching. Abstract: In fields with increasing water cut and depleting reservoir energy, Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) installation is a sustainable production option. It helps to extend life of the wells by lower abandonment pressure and therefore increases the recovery factor. In addition, the gas lift saving from ESP conversion wells could be utilized to optimize others wells’ productivity thus boosting the total field production. Over the last 9 years, Cuu Long JOC has been conducted 5 ESP campaigns in fractured granitic basement reservoirs which bringing full of surprises. The selected field for ESP pilot was brought on production initially in 2008 with over 75,000 bopd. However, water breakthrough occurred after 8 months quickly reduced the total field production to 5,000 bopd in 2013. At the time of ESP conversion, gas lift have already optimized and it is not sufficient to maintain the rate as most of wells flowed with 95% water cut. With ESP application, the wells were able to reach 12,000 blpd and reduce the water cut not only for itself but also for adjacent wells. Despite the pump average run life is not meet the expectation, ESP application shows better efficiency in term of oil production compared to gas lift under the same reservoir conditions. This paper summarizes a process of ESP application in high temperature environment including candidate selection, ESP design and actual production performance. The learning and experience developed from 11 ESPs installation provide an insight about the potential of ESP use for oil production in fractured basement reservoir.

Abstract: Radar Interferometry (InSAR) has been known as a technology to monitor the change of elements on the earth's surface for many years. There are many InSAR methods, in which the permanent scattering InSAR Radar (PSInSAR) method uses a series of images to determine the terrain deformetions quite well. However, for areas with lots of vegetation, the number of permanent scattering points (PS points) will be limited. In this paper, we have chosen a method that also uses a set of multi-temporal Radar images but has the lowest spatial and temporal image baselines, this method is called the Small Baselines method (SBAS). With the ALOS PalSAR images series that was collected from August 2007 to November 2010, many landslide points in the area of Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province were discovered. The landslide locations detected from Radar images were compared with the landslide surveying points and landslide interpreted by aerial photos in 2013 provided by Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources Vietnam. There have been many sliding sites coinsiding with the surveyed landslides, which proves that many landslides exist and develop continuously such as the location of Mong Sen bridge, Trung Chai Commune or at Sai Duan bridge, Phin Ngan commune.
