Abstract:
Global warming, which is one of the main problems of today, brings climate change with it. Land Surface Temperature (LST) is one of the most important parameters of the climate, as it affects the energy exchange between the atmosphere and the earth. For this reason, LST should be taken into account when carrying out large and small-scale studies. Many systems have been developed for the processing, analysis and evaluation of remote sensing data. One of them is the web-based system Google Earth Engine (GEE). The GEE interface enables rapid evaluation and analysis of satellite data with different resolutions. In this study, using 14 Landsat-8 satellite images from 7 different stations, surface temperatures were obtained with 4 different methods with the help of codes on the GEE platform. The obtained temperatures were compared with the near air temperature measured from the station, and the Mean Square Error (MSE) and correlation values were calculated for all methods. It has been demonstrated that it can be obtained quickly, easily and in a short time without the need to download satellite images on a very simple to use platform such as LST and GEE, which has increased as a study subject recently.
