Abstract:
Literature has always been relevant to childhood, and with Psychoanalysis, these stories raised questions about the importance in the psychotherapy process, including
Ambientotherapy, a treatment context that brings the environment as the main therapeutic resource. In this sense, the aim of this article is to discuss the therapeutic role of reading children's stories in an Ambientotherapy group, based on case reports of two child patients. For this, reports of the attendance of the Hour of the Tale activity were used. Although both presented different symptomatic functioning, what was seen was a considerable improvement in each patient. Reading aroused therapeutic effects by encouraging interaction and making clearer limits and rules explicit. Therefore, it is concluded that the shared reading of children's stories proved to be an important therapeutic resource, however it must be thought of individually considering the uniqueness of each subject and their characteristics.
