Abstract: Objective. To explore the effect of pulse-induced contour cardiac output (PiCCO) monitoring on the survival and prognosis of patients with myocardial injury and septic shock. Methods. A total of 400 patients with MI and septic shock who were treated in our hospital from May 2018 to June 2021 were included in the study. They were randomly grouped into the PiCCO group ( n = 200 ) and the control group ( n = 200 ) according to whether PiCCO was used for monitoring during the treatment period. The clinical baseline characteristics of all the patients were recorded. For comparison, we recorded hemodynamic parameters including mean arterial pressure (MAP), central venous pressure (CVP), heart rate (HR), troponin I (TnI), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), oxygen metabolism parameters including systemic central venous oxygen saturation (ScvO2), and lactate before and 6 h after intervention. In addition, white blood cell count (WBC) and C-reactive protein (CPR) levels before and 6 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h after intervention were measured in both groups. Finally, the survival and prognostic parameters were compared between the two groups. Results. At 6 h after monitoring intervention, the hemodynamic parameters of the patients in the PiCCO group were significantly increased. Additionally, compared with the control group, the ScvO2 level was higher while the lactate level was lower in the PiCCO group. An intergroup comparison on inflammation also showed that WBC and CPR levels recovered better in the PiCCO group than in the control group. Moreover, patients with PiCCO monitoring showed better performance in outcome measures such as mortality, duration of invasive mechanical ventilation, length of hospital stay, duration of ventilator use, acute physiology and chronic health scores, and postoperative complications. Conclusion. With the monitoring and guidance of the PiCCO technique, the nursing outcomes, survival rate, and prognosis of patients with myocardial injury and septic shock can be improved.

Abstract: Information-Centric Networking with caching is a very promising future network architecture. The research on its cache deployment strategy is divided into three categories, namely, noncooperative cache, explicit collaboration cache, and implicit collaboration cache. Noncooperative caching can cause problems such as high content repetition rate in the web cache space. Explicit collaboration caching generally reflects the best caching effect but requires a lot of communication to satisfy the exchange of cache node information and depends on the controller to perform the calculation. On this basis, implicit cooperative caching can reduce the information exchange and calculation between cache nodes while maintaining a good caching effect. Therefore, this paper proposes an on-path implicit cooperative cache deployment method based on the dynamic LRU-K cache replacement strategy. This method evaluates the cache nodes based on their network location and state and selects the node with the best state value on the transmission path for caching. Each request will only select one or two nodes for caching on the request path to reduce the redundancy of the data. Simulation experiments show that the cache deployment method based on the state and location of the cache node can improve the hit rate and reduce the average request length.

Abstract: The statistical behaviors of two-layered random-phase interfaces in two-dimensional Widom-Rowlinson's model are investigated. The phase interfaces separate two coexisting phases of the lattice Widom-Rowlinson model; when the chemical potential μ of the model is large enough, the convergence of the probability distributions which describe the fluctuations of the phase interfaces is studied. In this paper, the backbones of interfaces are introduced in the model, and the corresponding polymer chains and cluster expansions are developed and analyzed for the polymer weights. And the existence of the free energy for two-layered random-phase interfaces of the two-dimensional Widom-Rowlinson model is given.

Abstract: Perineural invasion (PNI) is a typical feature of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which occurs in most cases. The embryonic protein Nodal plays a critical role in embryonic neural development and is overexpressed in human pancreatic cancer. In this study, we explored the contribution of Nodal to pancreatic cancer PNI and progression. We evaluated the function of Nodal in PNI by coculturing rat dorsal root ganglia and pancreatic cancer cells in vitro and performing cellular and molecular biology assays. The results illustrate that Nodal upregulates NGF (nerve growth factor), BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), and GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) expression in pancreatic cancer cells and promotes cancer cell migration/invasion. Furthermore, in the in vitro 3D PNI model, Nodal enhances nerve outgrowth to pancreatic cancer cell colonies. Our study indicates that Nodal participates in tumor invasion by mediating neural and tumor cell signaling interactions, and inhibiting the expression of Nodal represents a potential strategy for targeting PNI in pancreatic cancer therapy.

Abstract: Today’s business environment is complex, dynamic, and uncertain which makes a supply chain facility increasingly vulnerable to disruption from various risk accidents as one of the main threats to the whole supply chain’s operation. However, in general, most of the studies on facility location problems assume that the facilities, once built, will always run availably and reliably. In fact, although the probability is very low, supply chain disruptions often incur disastrous consequences. Therefore, it is critical to account for disruptions during designing supply chain networks. To accomplish planned outcomes and greater supply chain resiliency, this article proposes a continuous approximation approach based on regular hexagon partition to address the reliable facility location problems with consideration of facility disruptions risk. The optimization goal is to determine the best facility location that minimizes the expected total system cost on the premise that the supply chain network is not disrupted as a whole when one or some facilities are subject to probabilistic failure. Our numerical experiment discusses the performance of the proposed solution approaches which demonstrates that the benefits of considering disruptions in the supply chain design can be significant. In addition, considering the impact of disruption probability estimation error on the optimal decision, the misestimating of the disruption probability is also investigated in this paper.

Abstract: Nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for the majority of lung cancers. Studies have revealed the regulatory role of lncRNAs in cancer pathogenesis and their potential use as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. The epidermal growth factor receptor antisense RNA 1 (EGFR-AS1) has been reported to be upregulated in NSCLC tissues, while its detailed mechanism in lung cancer needs to be explored. DNA damage-regulated autophagy modulator 1 (DRAM1) has been known to act as a tumor suppressor in NSCLC, and miR-524-5p has been reported to be a biomarker in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and different lung disorders. Our investigation revealed that EGFR-AS1 is highly expressed in lung cancer tissues, and its knockdown inhibited lung cancer cell invasion and viability and reduced tumor growth in vivo. We also found that EGFR-AS1 targets miR-524-5p, and there was a negative correlation between their expressions in lung cancer tissues. Simultaneously, miR-524-5p has been found to promote DRAM1 expression. In addition, the inhibition of miR-524-5p diminished DRAM1 protein expression and promoted lung cancer cell invasion. Our study has revealed that EGFR-AS1 contributes to the pathogenesis of NSCLC by inhibiting autophagic-lysosomal degradation via targeting the miR-524-5p/DRAM1 axis. This finding elucidated for the first time the role of EGFR-AS1 in lung cancer progression and the positive regulatory function of miR-524-5p in regulating DRAM1 protein and suppressing lung cancer progression. This novel mechanism provided a better insight into the pathogenesis of lung cancer and presented a better strategy for the treatment of lung cancer.

Abstract: α -Mangostin, a natural product isolated from the pericarp of the mangosteen fruit, has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in various types of cancers. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms are largely unclear. Here, we report that α -mangostin suppressed the viability and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of pancreatic cancer cells through inhibition of the PI3K/Akt pathway. Treatment of pancreatic cancer BxPc-3 and Panc-1 cells with α -mangostin resulted in loss of cell viability, accompanied by enhanced cell apoptosis, cell cycle arrest at G1 phase, and decrease of cyclin-D1. Moreover, Transwell and Matrigel invasion assays showed that α -mangostin significantly reduced the migration and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells. Consistent with these results, α -mangostin decreased the expression of MMP-2, MMP-9, N-cadherin, and vimentin and increased the expression of E-cadherin. Furthermore, we found that α -mangostin suppressed the activity of the PI3K/Akt pathway in pancreatic cancer cells as demonstrated by the reduction of the Akt phosphorylation by α -mangostin. Finally, α -mangostin significantly inhibited the growth of BxPc-3 tumor mouse xenografts. Our results suggest that α -mangostin may be potentially used as a novel adjuvant therapy or complementary alternative medicine for the management of pancreatic cancers.

Abstract: There is a new cache pollution attack in the information-centric network (ICN), which fills the router cache by sending a large number of requests for nonpopular content. This attack will severely reduce the router cache hit rate. Therefore, the detection of cache pollution attacks is also an urgent problem in the current information center network. In the existing research on the problem of cache pollution detection, most of the methods of manually setting the threshold are used for cache pollution detection. The accuracy of the detection result depends on the threshold setting, and the adaptability to different network environments is weak. In order to improve the accuracy of cache pollution detection and adaptability to different network environments, this paper proposes a detection algorithm based on gradient boost decision tree (GBDT), which can obtain cache pollution detection through model learning. Method. In feature selection, the algorithm uses two features based on node status and path information as model input, which improves the accuracy of the method. This paper proves the improvement of the detection accuracy of this method through comparative experiments.

Abstract: General anesthesia is a powerful and indispensable tool to ensure the accomplishment of surgical procedures or clinical examinations. Sevoflurane as an inhalational anesthetic without unpleasant odor is commonly used in clinical practice, especially for pediatric surgery. However, the toxicity caused by sevoflurane has gained growing attention. Mitochondria play a key role in maintaining cellular metabolism and survival. To maintain the stability of mitochondrial homeostasis, they are constantly going through fusion and fission. Also, damaged mitochondria need to be degraded by autophagy, termed as mitophagy. Accumulating evidence proves that sevoflurane exposure in young age could lead to cell toxicity by triggering the mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis, inducing the abnormalities of mitochondrial dynamics and mitophagy. In the present review, we focus on the current understanding of mitochondrial apoptosis, dynamics and mitophagy in cell function, the implications for cell toxicity in response to sevoflurane, and their underlying potential mechanisms.
