Abstract:
Treated‐water samples tested for six organic Compounds revealed that high levels of Chloroform were formed during the water‐treatment process. The reaction was found to be very pH‐dependent. Changing the point of application of the prechlorine dose reduced the Chloroform formed by 75 per cent.
