    Abstract: Dysbiosis commonly occurs in pancreatic cancer, but its specific characteristics and interactions with pancreatic cancer remain obscure. Materials and methods The 16S rRNA sequencing method was used to analyze multisite (oral and gut) microbiota characteristics of pancreatic cancer, chronic pancreatitis, and healthy controls. Differential analysis was used to identify the pancreatic cancer-associated genera and pathways. A random forest algorithm was adopted to establish the diagnostic models for pancreatic cancer. Results The chronic pancreatitis group exhibited the lowest microbial diversity, while no significant difference was found between the pancreatic cancer group and healthy controls group. Diagnostic models based on the characteristics of the oral (area under the curve (AUC) 0.916, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.832-1) or gut (AUC 0.856; 95% CI 0.74, 0.972) microbiota effectively discriminate the pancreatic cancer samples in this study, suggesting saliva as a superior sample type in terms of detection efficiency and clinical compliance. Oral pathogenic genera ( Granulicatella, Peptostreptococcus, Alloprevotella, Veillonella, etc.) and gut opportunistic genera ( Prevotella, Bifidobacterium, Escherichia/Shigella, Peptostreptococcus, Actinomyces, etc.), were significantly enriched in pancreatic cancer. The 16S function prediction analysis revealed that inflammation, immune suppression, and barrier damage pathways were involved in the course of pancreatic cancer. Conclusion This study comprehensively described the microbiota characteristics of pancreatic cancer and suggested potential microbial markers as non-invasive tools for pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

    Abstract: Litchi chinensis seed, as a valuable by-product of the subtropical fruit litchi ( Litchi chinensis Sonn.), has been confirmed to be rich in procyanidins (LPC). The anticarcinogenic properties of procyanidins has been primarily attributed to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. However, there is a comparative paucity of information on if and how LPC inhibits colon cancer. Here, LPC significantly inhibited CT26 colon cancer cells proliferation and metastasis in vivo and in vitro. In CT26 lung metastatic mice, the anti-metastatic effect of LPC relied on its regulation of gut microbiota such as increase of Lachnospiraceae UCG-006, Ruminococcus , and their metabolites such as acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid. In addition, LPC significantly inhibited CT26 colon cancer cells metastasis through increasing CD8 + cytotoxic T lymphocytes infiltration and decreasing the number of macrophages. Antibiotics treatment demonstrated that the therapeutic effect of LPC depended on the gut microbiota, which regulated T cells immune response. Taken together, LPC had strong inhibitory effects on colon cancer pulmonary metastasis by triggering gut-lung axis to influence the T cells immune response. Our research provides a novel finding for the utilization of procyanidins in the future, that is, supplementing more fruits and vegetables rich in procyanidins is beneficial to the treatment of colon cancer, or it can be used as an adjuvant drug in clinical anti-tumor immunotherapy.

    Abstract: This study aimed to examine the effects of family adaptation on anxiety, and the role of Zhongyong thinking style and intentional self-regulation in this association. A hypothetical model of the relationship between family adaptation, Zhongyong thinking style, intentional self-regulation, and anxiety was tested. A convenience sampling method was used to survey 1192 pre-service teachers in Yunnan Province on a self-report scale. Data were collected using the Family Adaptability Scale, the Zhongyong Thinking Style Scale, the Adolescent Intentional Self-Regulation Questionnaire, and the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale. The results show significant positive correlations among the three variables of family adaptation, Zhongyong thinking style and intentional self-regulation, and significant negative correlations with anxiety, respectively. Pre-service teachers’ family adaptation had a direct positive predictive effect on anxiety, which in turn indirectly predicted anxiety through the mediating effect of the Zhongyong thinking style, and individuals’ intentional self-regulation had a moderating effect of family adaptation on the Zhongyong thinking style. This study shows how family adaptation affects pre-service teachers’ anxiety; the results of this study also help to demonstrate the academic value of family adaptation and Zhongyong thinking style in optimally reducing pre-service teachers’ anxiety, and thus promoting good psychological status.

    Abstract: Litsea cubeba essential oil (LC-EO) has anti-insecticidal, antioxidant, and anticancer proper-ties; however, its antimicrobial activity toward Cronobacter sakazakii has not yet been researched extensively. The objective of this study was to investigate the antimicrobial and antibiofilm effects of LC-EO toward C. sakazakii, along with the underlying mechanisms. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of LC-EO toward eight different C. sakazakii strains ranged from 1.5 to 4.0 μL/mL, and LC-EO exposure showed a longer lag phase and lower specific growth compared to untreated bacteria. LC-EO increased reactive oxygen species production, decreased the integrity of the cell membrane, caused cell membrane depolarization, and decreased the ATP concentration in the cell, showing that LC-EO caused cellular damage associated with membrane permeability. LC-EO induced morphological changes in the cells. LC-EO inhibited C. sakazakii in reconstituted infant milk formula at 50 °C, and showed effective inactivation of C. sakazakii biofilms on stainless steel surfaces. Confocal laser scanning and attenuated total reflection–Fourier-transform infrared spectrometry indicated that the biofilms were disrupted by LC-EO. These findings suggest a potential for applying LC-EO in the prevention and control of C. sakazakii in the dairy industry as a natural antimicrobial and antibiofilm agent.

    Abstract: Traffic prediction is the core task of intelligent transportation system (ITS) and accurate traffic prediction can greatly improve the utilization of public resources. Dynamic interaction of multiple spatial relationships will influence the accuracy of traffic prediction. However, many existing methods only consider static spatial relationships, which restricts the accuracy of the prediction. To address the above problem, in this article, we propose the Dynamic Multi-Graph Fusion Network (DMGF-Net) to model the spatial-temporal correlations in traffic network. In the DMGF-Net, the fusion graph is designed to leverage and extract the various spatial correlations between different regions by fusing spatial graph, semantic graph, and spatial-semantic graph. Further, to dynamically learn the importance of different neighbors, we design the Dynamic Spatial-Temporal Unit (DSTU), which can adjust the aggregation weights of different neighbors by combining the convolution operation and the attention mechanism. It can selectively aggregate spatial-temporal features from different neighbors. Extensive experiments on three datasets demonstrate that effectiveness of our model, especially on PEMS08, our model achieves an increase of about 8.55% and 7.55% in terms of MAE and RMSE than the static model STGCN.
