Abstract: Galloping and ice shedding, two of significant dynamic damages to bundle conductors, are both typical three-degree-of-freedom vibrations, while few technique is studied on monitoring the torsion oscillation of the whole bundles and the sub-conductors. For the monitoring of the vertical, horizontal, and especially torsional oscillations, a novel type of spacer damper is developed, which can also detect the torsion motion of each sub-conductor, with consideration of the special configurations of bundle cables and integrated with fiber bragg grating sensors. Then, a distributed FBG network is introduced.

Abstract: We have done some simulate analysis on GPS data in this paper. The main research is method of determining satellite clock error by usining observation data of satellite-ground and inter-satellite under the condition of regional station arrangement. The research method is as follows: when the satellite in the visible area of regional observation network, we can get satellite clock error directly by satellite-ground time comparison, and predict the satellite clock error in invisible area. When the satellite in the invisible area of regional observation network, if this satellite can establish inter-satellite links with other satellites in the visible area, then the satellite clock error can be determined by time comparison of satellite-ground and inter-satellite; If there is no inter-satellite link between this satellite and other satellites in the visible area, then we can only predict the satellite clock error by given data. The simulation conditions of this paper are as follows: the system error of satellite-ground is 0.5 ns, the random error is 0.5 ns; the system error of inter-satellite is 1 ns, the random error is 0.5 ns. In this case, we can obtain the satellite clock error of PRN02 in an orbital period by method of this paper, and the accuracy is about 1.3 ns.

Abstract: Based on the basic theory of two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT), the mathematical model on real errors of observations is established in this paper. However, the model is rank-deficient. In order to solve this problem effectively, the paper introduces the algorithm of combining parameters, and applies Quasi-Accurate Detection of Gross Errors (QUAD) proposed in reference [ to data pre-processing. The method programs opportune algorithms and resolves the problem of detecting gross errors. In the end, the method has been verified to be successful by calculating and analysing simulated data and practical measured data.

Abstract: A simplified and efficient method was developed for the large-scale purification of the epothilone A and B from fermentation products of Sorangium cellulosum after organic solvent extraction in this paper. Extractant from XAD-16 resin with tetrachloromethane containing epothilones was concentrated under vacuum, subjected to Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and eluted with several solvents. Fractions containing epothilones are pooled, concentrated, and applied to a second cycle of column chromatography with other solvents. Result showed that elution with acetone gave the best purity of epothilones [78.1% by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) than that with pure methanol, pure ethanol, 70% (v/v) aqueous methanol or methanol-dichloromethane (1:1, v/v).] Then, when flow rate was 0.2 mL/min and sample amount (epoA) was 1 mg in second cycle, elution with methanol was resulted in complete separation between epothilone A and B, and further improved separately the purity of epothilone A and B to 90.27% and 77.34%. This simplified purification scheme avoided the loss of expensive epothilones in the common silica gel separation process and achieved the separation of epothilone A and B, significantly reduce the cost of the production without preparative liquid chromatography, or other equipment.

Abstract: A laboratory-scale method for treating bulk concentrate for reclaiming lead and silver was developed utilizing new hydrometallurgical technology as an alternative to the traditional pyrometallurgical processing. The condition experiments of every chief segment in the whole flowsheet have been systematically investigated, and then the whole hydrometallurgical processing flowsheet was determined. The main contents are followed as: Bulk concentrate was treated using pressure leaching in autoclave, the optimal leaching conditions were determined. The elemental sulphur was deprived from the pressure leaching residue using flotation-distillation. Carbonate conversion -silicofluoric acid leaching on flotation gangue containing lead sulfate using hydrometallurgy was carried. And Leaching silver using thiourea from the residue was carried after extracting lead. Through the whole hydrometallurgy flowsheet, the reclaiming of lead and silver was actualized.

Abstract: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Due to late diagnosis, early intrahepatic metastasis and nonresponse to systemic treatments, surgical resection and/or biopsy specimens remain the gold standard for disease staging, grading and clinical decision-making. Since only a small amount of tissue was obtained in a needle biopsy, the conventional tissue biopsy is unable to represent tumor heterogeneity in HCC. For this reason, it is imperative to find a new non-invasive and easily available diagnostic tool to detect HCC at an early stage and to monitor HCC recurrence. The past decade has witnessed considerable evolution in the development of liquid biopsy technologies with the emergence of next-generation sequencing. As a liquid biopsy approach, molecular analysis of cell-free DNA (cfDNA), characterized by noninvasiveness and real-time analysis, may accurately represent the tumor burden and comprehensively reflect genetic profile of HCC. Therefore, cfDNA may be used clinically as a predictive biomarker in early diagnosis, outcome assessment, and even molecular typing. In this review, we provide an update on the recent advances made in clinical applications of cfDNA in HCC.

Abstract: This paper presents a novel approach to categorize multi-view vehicles in complex background using only two dimension characteristic vectors instead of high dimension vectors. Vehicles have large variability of models and the view-point makes the appearance change dramatically. Significant characteristics should be chosen as the evidence to categorize. In this paper, we categorize the vehicles into two categories – cars and lorries. Line detection method is used and calculating the average line length and the number of parallel lines as the two characteristics. A linear classifier is trained using 30 different view cars and lorries as the training set and an 10 additional different cars and lorries as the testing set.

Abstract: The metal-to-insulator transitions achieved in rare-earth nickelate (〈i〉R〈/i〉NiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉) receive considerable attentions owning to their potential applications in areas such as temperature sensors, non-volatile memory devices, electronic switches, etc. In contrast to conventional semiconductors, the 〈i〉R〈/i〉NiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 is a typical electron correlation system, in which the electronic band structure is dominant by the Coulomb energy relating to the 〈i〉d〈/i〉-band and its hybridized orbitals. It was previously pointed out that lattice distortion can largely influence the electronic band structures and further significantly affect the electronic transportation properties, such as the resistivity and metal-to-insulator transition properties. Apart from directly measuring the transportation performance, the variations in the origin of carrier conduction and orbital transitions relating to the strain distortion of 〈i〉R〈/i〉NiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 can also be reflected via their optical properties. In this work, we investigate the optical properties of samarium nickel (SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉) thin films when lattice distortions are induced by interfacial strains. To introduce the interfacial strain, the SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 thin films are epitaxially grown on the strontium titanate (SrTiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉) and lanthanum aluminate (LaAlO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉) single crystal substrates by using the pulsed laser deposition. A bi-axial tensile distortion happens when the SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 thin films are grown on SrTiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 due to the smaller lattice constant of SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 than that of SrTiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉, while the one grown on LaAlO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 is strain-relaxed. We measure the infrared radiation (IR) transmission spectra of the SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 thin films grown on various substrates. The obtained IR transmission spectra are fitted by a Drude-Lorentz model and further converted into the curves of photoconductivity versus IR frequency. Comparing the difference in photoconductance between low frequency and high frequency reflects the two different origins of the conduction, which are related to intraband transition and band-to-band transition, respectively. The smaller photoconductance is observed for SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉/SrTiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 than for SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉/LaAlO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 at low frequency, and this is expected to be caused by the suppression of free carriers as reported previously for tensile distorted SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉. The consistence is obtained when further measuring the electronic transportation such as temperature-dependent electrical resistivity, as a higher resistivity is observed for SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉/SrTiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 than for SmNiO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉/LaAlO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉. The combination of the investigation of electrical transport with that of infrared transmission indicates that the tensile distortion in structure stabilizes the insulating phase to eliminate a pronounced metal-to-insulator transition and elevates the transition temperature. This is related to the respective twisting of the NiO〈sub〉6〈/sub〉 octahedron when tensile distortion regulates the valance state of the transition metal and further opens the band gap, which is further confirmed by results of the X-ray absorption spectrum.
