    Abstract: We present the first photometric and orbital period investigations for a neglected totally eclipsing contact binary IP Lyn. The photometric solutions derived from both ground-based and several surveys’ observations suggest that it is a shallow contact binary with an extremely low mass ratio of 0.055. The weak asymmetry observed in our multiple band light curves can be interpreted as a result of an active cool spot on the primary. The absolute physical parameters were determined with the Gaia-distance-based method and checked by an empirical relation. Combining the eclipse timings collected from the literature and those derived from our and variable surveys’ observations, we find that IP Lyn has been undergoing a secular orbital period increase for the past two decades, implying a mass transfer from the less massive secondary to the primary. By comparing the current parameters with the critical instability ones, we infer that IP Lyn is currently stable in spite of its relatively low mass ratio and orbital angular momentum. Finally, from a catalog of 117 extremely low mass ratio contact binaries, we find that their orbital angular momenta are significantly lower than those of the contact binaries with a relatively high mass ratio, suggesting they should be at the late evolutionary stage of a contact binary.

    Abstract: Nutrient loss, caused by lipid oxidation and hydrolysis, occurs in the scallop adductor muscle during refrigerated storage. To retard this process, chitosan coating with inclusion of antioxidant of bamboo leaves (AOB) and potassium sorbate (PS) were used. Results indicated the coatings employed could significantly inhibit the increases in total number of colonies, total volatile basic nitrogen, peroxide value, thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances, lipase activity and free fatty acid content as well as the decrease in contents of triacylglycerols, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) in the scallop adductor muscle during refrigerated storage. After 8 days, the contents of PUFA, eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexenoic acid in the control adductor muscle decreased by 46.91, 47.46 and 45.50%, respectively, while the corresponding values were 35.93-36.68, 34.01-36.45 and 32.73-37.50%, respectively, for AOB- and PS-coated adductor muscles. Therefore, chitosan coatings incorporated with AOB and PS could retard nutrient loss by inhibiting lipid oxidation and hydrolysis.

    Abstract: Revision surgery (RS) is a necessary surgical intervention in clinical practice to treat spinal instrumentation–related symptomatic complications. Three constructs with different configurations have been applied in RS. One distinguishing characteristic of these configurations is that the revision rods connecting previous segments and revision segments are placed alongside, outside, or inside the previous rods at the level of facetectomy. Whether the position of the revision rod could generate mechanical disparities in revision constructs is unknown. The objective of this study was to assess the influence of the revision rod position on the construct after RS. A validated spinal finite element (FE) model was developed to simulate RS after previous instrumented fusion using a modified dual-rod construct (DRCm), satellite-rod construct (SRC), and cortical bone trajectory construct (CBTC). Thereafter, maximum von Mises stress (VMS) on the annulus fibrosus and cages and the ligament force of the interspinous ligament, supraspinous ligament, and ligamentum flavum under a pure moment load and a follower load in six directions were applied to assess the influence of the revision rod position on the revision construct. An approximately identical overall reducing tendency of VMS was observed among the three constructs. The changing tendency of the maximum VMS on the cages placed at L4-L5 was nearly equal among the three constructs. However, the changing tendency of the maximum VMS on the cage placed at L2-L3 was notable, especially in the CBTC under right bending and left axial rotation. The overall changing tendency of the ligament force in the DRCm, SRC, and CBTC was also approximately equal, while the ligament force of the CBTC was found to be significantly greater than that of the DRCm and SRC at L1-L2. The results indicated that the stiffness associated with the CBTC might be lower than that associated with the DRCm and SRC in RS. The results of the present study indicated that the DRCm, SRC, and CBTC could provide sufficient stabilization in RS. The CBTC was a less rigid construct. Rather than the revision rod position, the method of constructing spinal instrumentation played a role in influencing the biomechanics of revision.

    Abstract: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a deadly respiratory system malignancy with poor prognosis. Autophagy is essential for the beginning, development, and therapy resistance of cancer. However, the expression of genes participating in autophagy in LUAD and their associations with prognosis remain unclear. Methods Predictive genes participating in autophagy in LUAD samples from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets were investigated. TCGA and GEO cohorts were divided into two risk groups, while the low-risk group having a longer overall survival (OS) time. This article aims to point out the interaction between genes participating in autophagy and immune function, immune checkpoints, and m 6 a in LUAD. The prediction model was designed for exploring least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression. It has been revealed that gene expression and autophagy are inextricably connected. Results Genes participating in autophagy were shown to be somewhat overexpressed in the high-risk group even though no different clinical symptoms were present, indicating that they might be used in a model to predict LUAD prognosis. The majority of genes participating in autophagy prognostic signatures controlled immunological and tumor-related pathways, according to gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA). KRT6A , KYNU , IGFBP1 , DKK1 , PKP2 , PLEK2 , GAPDH , FLNC , and NTSR1 might be related to the oncology process for LUAD patients. CERS4 , CMAHP , and PLEKHB1 have been identified as being associated with low risk in patients with LUAD. Furthermore, the immune function and m 6 a gene expression differed significantly between the two groups. Conclusions Genes participating in autophagy are connected to the development and progression of LUAD. LUAD patients’ prognoses are often foreseen utilizing matched prognostic models. Genes participating in autophagy in LUAD may be therapeutic targets that ought to be investigated more.

    Abstract: This paper mainly discusses that the tunnel seismic advance detection is applied in mine geo-hazard detection. Separating the field seismic data of mine by radon transformation and migrating the data through advance way and side way, we accomplished advance and side detection simultaneously by one-time shot seismic data. Case study was carried on at Qinshui basin Yangmei No.5 mine field, and detection results mainly coincide with out-crops, demonstrating that our method can be one reference in mine geo-hazard detection.

    Abstract: The idea of applying tunnel seismic advance exploration in coal mine geo-hazard detection is conducted in this paper. We successfully made a mine advance and side detection simultaneously with one-time shot seismic data by splitting the field seismic data using radon transformation, and we preceded mine seismic data processing and data interpretation was done to explain the phenomenon. We also introduce a case study in this paper which was carried out at Qinshui basin Yangmei No.5 mine field, and the detection results basically matched with out-crops, illustrating that our method can be one reference in mine geo-hazard detection.

    Abstract: Superconducting wire-networks are paradigms to study Cooper pairing issues, vortex dynamics and arrangements. Recently, emergent low-dimensional crystalline superconductors were reported in the minimal-disorder limit, providing novel platforms to reveal vortices-related physics. Study on superconducting loops with high-crystallinity is thus currently demanded. Here, we report fabrication and transport measurement of finite square-network based on two-dimensional crystalline superconductor Mo 2 C. We observe oscillations in the resistance as a function of the magnetic flux through the loops. Resistance dips at both matching field and fractional fillings are revealed. Temperature and current evolutions are carried out in magnetoresistance to study vortex dynamics. The amplitude of oscillation is enhanced due to the interaction between thermally activated vortices and the currents induced in the loops. The driving current reduces the effective activation energy for vortex, giving rise to stronger vortex interaction. Moreover, by the thermally activated vortex creep model, we derive the effective potential barrier for vortex dissipation, which shows well-defined correspondence with structures in magnetoresistance. Our work shows that low-dimensional crystalline superconducting network based on Mo 2 C possesses pronounced potential in studying the modulation of vortex arrangements and dynamics, paving the way for further investigations on crystalline superconducting network with various configurations.
