Abstract: Power allocation plays a pivotal role in improving the communication performance of interference-limitedwireless network (IWN). However, the optimization of power allocation is usually formulated as a mixed-integernon-linear programming (MINLP) problem, which is hard to solve. Whale optimization algorithm (WOA)has recently gained the attention of the researcher as an efficient method to solve a variety of optimizationproblems. WOA algorithm also has the disadvantages of low convergence accuracy and easy to fall into local optimum. To solve the above problems, we propose Cosine Compound Whale Optimization Algorithm (CCWOA).First of all, its unique cosine nonlinear convergence factor can balance the rate of the whole optimization processand prevent the convergence speed from being too fast. Secondly, the inertia weight and sine vector canincrease the probability of jumping out of the local optimal solution. Finally, the Archimedean spiral can reducethe risk of losing the optimal solution. A representative benchmark function is selected to test the convergencerate of CCWOA algorithm and the optimization performance of jumping out of local optimum. Compared withthe representative algorithms PFP and GAP, the optimization effect of CCWOA is almost consistent with theabove two algorithms, and even exceeds 4% - 6% in numerical value. The advantage of CCWOA is that it haslower algorithm complexity, which has a good advantage when the network computing resources are fixed. Inaddition, the optimization effect of CCWOA is higher than that of WOA, which lays a good foundation for furtherapplication of swarm intelligence optimization algorithm in network resource allocation.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of amnioreduction in patients who underwent emergency cervical cerclage (ECC) with bulging membranes during the second trimester. This retrospective comparative study included 46 singleton pregnant women who had cervical dilation at least 1 cm with bulging membranes beyond the external cervical os and underwent ECC at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between December 2016 and December 2021. Cases were categorized as amnioreduction group ( n  = 16) and non-amnioreduction group ( n  = 30) according to whether amnioreduction was performed prior to ECC. The gestational age and cervical dilation at cerclage, operative time, prolongation of pregnancy, and outcomes of pregnancy were compared between the two groups. All 46 patients underwent successful ECC excepted one case with intraoperative rupture of membrane in non-amnioreduction group. In the amnioreduction group, the cervical dilation at cerclage was larger than that in the non-amnioreduction group (4.5 ± 2.2 vs. 2.2 ± 1.2 cm, P   & lt; 0.001), and had more patients with cervical dilation ≥4 cm (50.0% vs. 10.0%, P  = 0.004). However, the gestational age at cerclage, operative time, prolongation of pregnancy, gestational age at delivery were not significantly different between the two groups (22.9 ± 2.8 vs. 22.9 ± 3.2 weeks, 31.1 ± 9.2 vs. 27.9 ± 11.4 min, 21.3 ± 21.5 vs. 38.7 ± 40.2 days, 25.9 ± 4.5 vs. 28.4 ± 6.1 weeks; P   & gt; 0.05). The rates of delivery ≥28 weeks, ≥32 weeks, and live birth were 20.0% vs. 80.0%, 12.5% vs. 26.7%, 56.3% vs. 66.7% ( P   & gt; 0.05) in amnioreduction group and non-amnioreduction group, respectively. In conclusion, even in cases with larger cervical dilation, the application of amnioreduction with ECC is possible to get the acceptable pregnancy outcomes. These findings suggested that amnioreduction may be a safe and feasible option to be applied before ECC, especially for those with advanced cervical dilation and bulging membranes.

Abstract: Background: The immunotherapy efficacy in gastric cancer (GC) is limited. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) induce primary resistance to immunotherapy. However, CAF infiltration in tumors is difficult to evaluate due to the lack of validated and standardized quantified methods. This study aimed to investigate the impact of infiltrating CAFs alternatively using fibroblast-associated mutation scoring (FAMscore). Methods: In a GC cohort from Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University (AHJU), whole exon sequencing of genomic mutations, whole transcriptome sequencing of mRNA expression profiles, and immunofluorescence staining of tumor-infiltrating immune cells were performed. GC data from The Cancer Genome Atlas were used to identify genetic mutations which were associated with overall survival (OS) and impacted infiltrating CAF abundance determined by transcriptome-based estimation. FAMscore was then constructed through a least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression model and further validated in AHJU. The predictive role of FAMscore for immunotherapy outcomes was tested in 1 GC, one melanoma, and two non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC-1 and -2) cohorts wherein participants were treated by immune checkpoint inhibitors. Results: FAMscore was calculated based on a mutation signature consisting of 16 genes. In both TCGA and AHJU, a high FAMscore was an independent predictor for poor OS of GC patients. FAMscore was associated with immune-associated genome biomarkers, immune cell infiltration, and signaling pathways of abnormal immunity. Importantly, patients with high FAMscore presented inferiority in the objective response rate of immunotherapy compared to those with low FAMscore , with 14.6% vs. 66.7% (p & lt;0.001) in GC, 19.6% vs. 68.2% (p & lt;0.001) in NSCLC-1, 23.1% vs 75% (p = 0.007) in NSCLC-2, and 40.9% vs 75% (p = 0.037) in melanoma. For available survival data, a high FAMscore was also an independent predictor of poor progression-free survival in NSCLC-1 (HR = 2.55, 95% CI: 1.16–5.62, p = 0.02) and NSCLC-2 (HR = 5.0, 95% CI: 1.13–22.19, p = 0.034) and poor OS in melanoma (HR = 3.48, 95% CI: 1.27–9.55, p = 0.015). Conclusions: Alternative evaluation of CAF infiltration in GC by determining the FAMscore could independently predict prognosis and immunotherapy outcomes. The FAMscore may be used to optimize patient selection for immunotherapy.

Abstract: Glutamine metabolism (GM) plays a critical role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, a comprehensive methodology to quantify GM activity is still lacking. We developed a transcriptome-based GMScore to evaluate GM activity and investigated the association of GMScore with prognosis and therapeutic resistance. Two independent HCC cohorts with transcriptome data were selected from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA, n = 365) and the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC, n = 231). The expression of 41 GM-associated genes were used to construct and validate GMScore. Several genomic or transcriptomic biomarkers were also estimated. Tumor response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) was predicted using the tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion algorithm. GMScore was closely correlated with patient characteristics, including stage, histology grade, alpha-fetoprotein level, and vascular invasion. High GMScore was an independent risk factor for overall survival (OS) in both cohorts (HR = 4.2 and 3.91, both p & lt; 0.001), superior to clinical indices and other biomarkers. High GMScore presented transcriptome features to indicate cell growth advantages and genetic stability, which was associated with poor OS of patients who received transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). High GMScore was also related to high expression of immune checkpoint genes, increased infiltration of regulatory T cells, and decreased infiltration of M1 macrophages. More importantly, high GMScore indicated poor predicted responses to ICIs, which could be verified in an ICI-treated melanoma cohort. In conclusion, GMScore is a strong prognostic index that may be integrated into existing clinical algorithms. A high GMScore may indicate resistance to TACE and ICIs based on its transcriptome and immune features. Validations using other HCC cohorts, especially ICI-treated HCC cohorts, are necessary.

Abstract: Two disputes about the metallographic testing of welding joints of the high alloy steel on-site installation welding of the current power plant boiler are discussed. This thesis analyzes the reasons for the two dispute. On this basis, the accordance for the detection, detection method, qualification assessment standard and the ratio of detected parts to quantity are defined. This paper can provide reference for strengthening the quality of welding joints for high alloy steel installation welding of power station boilers.

Abstract: Crop biofortification with inorganic selenium (Se) fertilizer is a feasible strategy to improve the health of residents in Se-deficient areas. For eco-friendly crop Se biofortification, a comprehensive understanding of the effects of Se on crop and soil nematodes is vital. In this study, a rice pot experiment was carried out to test how selenite supply (untreated control (0), 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 100, or 200 mg Se kg −1 ) in soil affected rice growth, rice Se accumulation, and soil nematode abundance and composition. The results showed that selenite supply (5–200 mg kg −1 ) generally increased the number of rice tillers, rice yield, and Se concentrations in rice grains. In soil under 10 mg kg −1 Se treatment, the genus composition of nematodes changed significantly compared with that in the control soil. With increased Se level ( & gt; 10 mg kg −1 ), soil nematode abundance decreased significantly. Correlation analysis also demonstrated the positive relationships between soil Se concentrations (total Se and bioavailable Se) with rice plant parameters (number of rice tillers, rice yield, and grain Se concentration) and negative relationships between soil Se concentrations (total Se and bioavailable Se) with soil nematode indexes (nematode abundance and relative abundance of Tobrilus ). This study provides insight into balancing Se biofortification of rice and soil nematode community protection and suggests the effective concentrations for total Se (1.45 mg kg −1 ) and bioavailable Se (0.21 mg kg −1 ) to soil nematode abundances at 20% level (EC20) as soil Se thresholds. At Se concentrations below these thresholds, rice plant growth and Se accumulation in the grain will still be promoted, but the disturbance of the soil nematodes would be negligible.
