    Abstract: Carbon dioxide is considered as a primary reason for global climate change, thus CO2 needs to be urgently reduced. Catalytic conversion of CO2 into chemical fuels is one of the most crucial technologies that can address both global warming and the depletion of fossil fuels. Rhenium tricarbonyl complex [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] (bpy: 2,2’ bipyridine) possesses a great potential of capturing and highly selective converting CO2 to carbon monoxide. In the current study, we synthesized and characterized the structure of [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] by 1H NMR, ESI-MS, FITR, and PL spectroscopy. The electrochemical properties and the electrochemical CO2 reduction of [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] in the absence and presence of an electron donor source were carried out using cyclic voltammetric measurements. The cyclic voltammogram of [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] in N2-saturated DMF solution displayed one irreversible reduction wave at -1.33 V. [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] expressed its electrocatalytic behavior in CO2 atmosphere by the enhancement of the cathodic current density. The current increased approximately twofold in CO2-saturated DMF solution (from 0.15 to 0.32 mA/cm2) and more enhancement when adding TEOA solvent. With the presence of an electron donor, the CO2 reduction efficiency of [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] was improved and represented by an approximately fourfold increase in cathodic current from 0.32 to 1.12 mA/cm2. One-electron reduced species of [Re(bpy)(CO)3Cl] observed at 1.33 V in N2 and CO2-saturated electrolytes contributed to the reaction with CO2.

    Abstract: Thyroid scintigraphy, a type of single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging technique that uses radioactive isotopes to capture images of the thyroid gland, helps detect thyroid abnormalities and diagnosing thyroid cancer. A promising research direction for machine learning applications to assist in diagnosis. Most algorithms for detecting and predicting uptake in the thyroid region rely on proprietary or published datasets with unspecified information. This makes comparing the performance among different methods and developing solutions for various problems challenging. To address this issue, we have constructed two standardized datasets of thyroid scintigraphy images for identifying and quantifying the depth. The purpose of designing the models is to establish a benchmark assessment for developing CADx models on the datasets in the future.

    Abstract: Nitrogen-doped carbon hybridized nanodiamond (N-doped C@ND) materials have been developed and used as an electrocatalytic for oxygen reduction reactions (ORRs). The polymerized ionic liquids are employed to modify NDs and then subjected to thermal annealing at 600 °C, resulting in a high concentration of N-doped (9.33 at.%) carbon frameworks attached on the ND surface. This N-doped C@ND material provides a highly active mesoporous structure (4 nm pore) with a high surface area (366 m 2 g −1 ) and allows for enhancement of catalytic performance compared to pure NDs. The N-doped C layers altered the electroneutrality of NDs, creating favourable charged sites for oxygen adsorption, thus weakening the O–O bond strength to facilitate ORR activity. Having a predominant four-electron transfer pathway with a total electron transfer number of 3.44–3.88 in the potential region of 0.1–0.8 V RHF , the N-doped C@ND-based catalyst materials performed well as a catalyst for the ORR in the alkaline medium. This affordable material and simple process will find potential application in clean energy generation and storage, durable fuel cells and metal–air batteries.

    Abstract: Bài báo trình bày phương pháp ứng dụng thuật toán ngắm theo điểm đích ảo để điều khiển robot tự hành bốn bánh lái chủ động 4WD4WS bám theo đường quỹ đạo, dựa trên thông tin cung cấp về vị trí thực tế của robot bằng các vật chuẩn dọc theo quỹ đạo. Động học của robot tự hành bốn bánh lái chủ động cũng được nghiên cứu chi tiết, đảm bảo được tính ổn định của hệ thống khi vận hành với các ràng buộc vận tốc và hướng cho từng bánh xe. Quá trình tổng hợp luật điều khiển được bảo đảm toán học chặt chẽ. Mô phỏng trong Matlab thể hiện trực quan kết quả nghiên cứu.

    Abstract: H.264 is the most popular video coding standard with high potent coding performance. For its efficiency, the H.264 is expected to encode real-time and/or high-definition video. However, the H.264 standard also requires highly complex and long lasting computation. To overcome these difficulties, many efforts have been deployed to increase encoding speed. Besides, with the revolution of portable devices, multimedia chips for mobile environments are more and more developed. Thus, power-oriented design for H.264 video encoders is currently a tremendous challenge. This paper discusses these trends and presents an overview of the state of the art on power features for different H.264 hardware encoding architectures. We also propose the VENGME’s design, a particular hardware architecture of H.264 encoder that enables applying low-power techniques and developing power-aware ability. This low power encoder is a four-stage architecture with memory access reduction, in which, each module has been optimized. The actual total power consumption, estimated at Register-Transfer-Level (RTL), is only 19.1 mW.

    Abstract: Vật liệu cellulose và nickel (Ni/cellulose) được ứng dụng tham gia vào phản ứng xúc tác điện hóa đối với ethanol. Cellulose được tổng hợp từ phế thải của nông nghiệp như vỏ cam ở miền nam Việt Nam thông qua phương pháp thủy nhiệt trong môi trường kiềm. Nickel đã được kết tủa thành công trên bề mặt cellulose bằng cách khử hydrazine hydrate. Hình thái học, tham số mạng và trạng thái bề mặt của hỗn hợp Ni/cellulose được xác định bằng phương pháp nhiễu xạ tia X (XRD), phổ hồng ngoại biến đổi Fourier (FTIR), kính hiển vi điện tử quét (SEM). Hoạt tính điện hóa của xúc tác Ni/cellulose cũng được khảo sát bằng phương pháp quét thế vòng tuần hoàn (cyclic voltammetry - CV), quét thế tuyến tính (linear sweep voltammetry – LSV) và chronoamperometry - CA. Kết quả đặc tính cho thấy các hạt Ni kích thước nano phân bố không đồng đều trên mạch cellulose, xúc tác Ni/cellulose cho thấy hoạt tính điện hóa cao và ổn định đối với quá trình điện hóa ethanol. Mật độ dòng điện cực đại của xúc tác Ni/cellulose là gần 1.2 mA.cm-2 khi xuất hiện 0,1M ethanol trong môi trường kiềm. Kết quả cho thấy rằng vật liệu Ni/cellulose hứa hẹn sẽ đóng gớp tích cực như tiếp cận mới cho lĩnh vực xúc tác điện hóa và pin nhiên liệu ethanol.

    Abstract: This paper presents a method of applying a combination of the dynamic virtual target guidance algorithm and sliding mode control (SMC) to control a four-wheel-drive/four-wheel-steer mobile robot (4WD4WS) to follow the trajectory with small curvature, based on visual information captured by a single camera. A kinematic model of four-wheel-drive/four-wheel-steer mobile robot were also present, the proposed controller ensure stability and robustness when operating under uncertainties and disturbances. The process of synthesizing control laws is strictly mathematically guaranteed. The simulation in Matlab shows the research results visually.
