Abstract:
We studied the effects of the introduction of a spinel compound ((Co0.67Mg0.33)Fe2O4) or a perovskite compound (SrFeO3) as a reactive layer between anode and electrolyte on the SOFC performance of Ni-SDC/LSGM/SSC single cells. The SOFC performance was improved by introduction of reactive layer. The improved performance was mainly attributed to the decrease in ohmic loss. TEM/EDX analyses in the vicinity of the anode/electrolyte interface revealed that Fe diffused at the surface of LSGM, and the Fe diffusion would lead to the decrease in ohmic loss.
