Abstract: Medical diagnostic imaging is essential for the differential diagnosis of cervical lymphadenopathy. Here we develop an ultrasound radiomics method for accurately differentiating cervical lymph node tuberculosis (LNTB), cervical lymphoma, reactive lymph node hyperplasia, and metastatic lymph nodes especially in the multi-operator, cross-machine, multicenter context. The inter-observer and intra-observer consistency of radiomics parameters from the region of interest were 0.8245 and 0.9228, respectively. The radiomics model showed good and repeatable diagnostic performance for multiple classification diagnosis of cervical lymphadenopathy, especially in LNTB (area under the curve, AUC: 0.673, 0.662, and 0.626) and cervical lymphoma (AUC: 0.623, 0.644, and 0.602) in the whole set, training set, and test set, respectively. However, the diagnostic performance of lymphadenopathy among skilled radiologists was varied (Kappa coefficient: 0.108, * p & lt; 0.001). The diagnostic performance of radiomics is comparable and more reproducible compared with those of skilled radiologists. Our study offers a more comprehensive method for differentiating LNTB, cervical lymphoma, reactive lymph node hyperplasia, and metastatic LN.

Abstract: Fluorescent sensors that respond to environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, and pH) have attracted widespread attention in recent years. Generally, traditional solid-state fluorescent materials tend to suffer from aggregation-induced quenching (ACQ) and difficulty of film forming, limiting their extensive applications. Therefore, researchers are focusing more and more attention on fluorescent sensors with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) effects. Herein, the article reports an AIE molecule (TPEBZMZ) containing tetraphenylethylene (TPE) and benzimidazole fragments. The fluorescence properties of TPEBZMZ in solution and aggregation states have been investigated, and the luminescence performance and aggregation structures of solid-state TPEBZMZ after force and acid treatments have been explored. The results show obvious AIE and fluorescent sensing properties of TPEBZMZ, presenting force- and acid-induced discolorations. Moreover, the TPEBZMZ-based fluorescent nanofibrous film is fabricated by electrospinning the solution of TPEBZMZ blended with polylactic acid (PLA), which shows a good nanofiber film structure and exhibits reversible acid-induced discoloration property, even with only 0.5 wt% TPEBZMZ. This work provides a simple strategy to achieve stimulus-responsive fluorescent film.

Abstract: Although there are a certain number of studies dedicated to the disturbances of the dopaminergic system induced by traumatic brain injury (TBI), the associations of abnormal dopaminergic systems with post-traumatic anxiety and depressive disorders and their underlying mechanisms have not been clarified yet. In the midbrain, dopaminergic neurons are mainly situated in the substantia nigra (SN) and the ventral tegmental area (VTA). Thus, we selected SN and VTA as regions of interest and performed a seed-based global correlation to evaluate the altered functional connectivity throughout the dopaminergic system post-TBI. Methods Thirty-three individuals with TBI and 21 healthy controls were recruited in the study. Anxiety and depressive symptoms were examined by the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. All MRI data were collected using a Siemens Prisma 3.0 Tesla MRI system. The volume of SN and the global functional connectivity of the SN and VTA were analyzed. Results In the present study, patients with TBI reported more anxiety and depressive symptoms. More importantly, some structural and functional alterations, such as smaller SN and reduced functional connectivity in the left SN, were seen in individuals with TBI. Patients with TBI had smaller substantia nigra on both right and left sides, and the left substantia nigra was relatively small in contrast with the right one. Among these findings, functional connectivity between left SN and left angular gyrus was positively associated with post-traumatic anxiety symptoms and negatively associated with depressive symptoms. Conclusions The TBI causes leftward lateralization of structural and functional alterations in the substantia nigra. An impaired mesocortical functional connectivity might be implicated in post-traumatic anxiety and depression.

Abstract: Excess body mass index (BMI) plays a key role in the onset and progression of knee osteoarthritis (knee OA). However, the burden of knee OA attributable to high BMI at the global, Chinese, and regional levels have received far too little attention. The aim of this study is to provide evidence to support the design of policy by investigating long-term trends of years lived with disability (YLDs) for knee OA. Methods To illustrate the trends of YLDs for knee OA attributable to high BMI and the temporal trends of the YLDs rate by age, period, and cohort, Joinpoint regression software and age-period-cohort (APC) were used to analyze the YLDs data of knee OA from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2019. Results In China, there were 549,963.5 YLDs for knee OA attributable to high BMI in 2019, which had increased by 460.7% since 1990. From 1990 to 2019, age-standardized disability-adjusted life year rate (ASDR) of knee OA attributable to high BMI trended upwards. The average annual percent change (AAPC) of knee OA attributable to high BMI in China and globe were 3.019, 1.419%, respectively. The longitudinal age curve of the APC model showed that the YLDs rates of knee OA due to high BMI increased with age, and YLDs rates were higher among females than males. The period rate ratios (RRs) of knee OA due to high BMI increased significantly. The cohort RRs of knee OA due to high BMI increased among those born between 1900 and 1970. The net drifts of knee OA attributable to high BMI in China and globe were above 1. Compared with global condition, the net drift values of knee OA attributable to high BMI in China was higher. Compared with females, males had higher net drift value. Countries with high socio-demographic index (SDI) have a much higher burden of knee OA caused by high BMI than countries with low SDI. Conclusion In China, high BMI is a substantial cause of knee OA, the incidence of which has been increasing since 1990. In addition, women and the elderly are more vulnerable to knee OA caused by high BMI. The Chinese government must take the long-term impact of high BMI on knee OA into account and implement effective public health policies and resort to interventions to reduce the burden as soon as possible.

Abstract: In order to explore the response mechanism of heavy metal content in Oryza sativa L. fields under winter green manure. In this study, through field experiments, the changes of soil chemical properties and heavy metal content in Brassica napus L. and Oryza sativa L. at different growth stages were analyzed. The results are as follows: the pH value in Brassica napus L. harvest stage is higher than that before sowing, while the pH value in Oryza sativa L. harvest stage is lower than that before sowing. Eh of Brassica napus L. soil is positive during the whole growth period, showing a fluctuating upward trend. Eh of soil decreased to negative value during the whole growth period of Oryza sativa L. The contents of As, Hg, Pb, Cd and Cr in the soil decreased gradually in the whole growth period of Brassica napus L. , and decreased to the lowest level in the harvest period. During the whole growth period of Oryza sativa L. , the content of Hg and Cd decreased, while the content of Pb and Cr increased in the harvest period compared with before sowing. Therefore, planting green manure Brassica napus L. in winter is beneficial to alleviate heavy metal pollution in soil.

Abstract: Green manure is a biological fertilizer source with complete nutrients, which provides reference for the selection of green manure resistant to low temperature germination. Six green manure crops including Brassica napus L., Orychophragmus violaceus (L.) O. E. Schulz, Medicago sativa L., Lolium perenne L., Melilotus officinalis (Linn.) Pall. and Vicia villosaRoth were selected as experimental materials to study the effects of low temperature stress on germination and seedling growth of different green manure through low temperature germination experiments. The results showed that there were significant differences in cold tolerance of the seeds of 6 medium green manure crops during germination. The germination potential, germination rate, germination index, vitality index, seedling height, root length, seedling fresh weight, soluble protein content and chlorophyll content of Brassica napus L. and Vicia villosaRoth seeds were all better than those of other green manure crops, which provided theoretical basis for the actual production of green manure.
