Abstract: The current study was conducted to find the correlation between the variablesenvironmental awareness, environmental attitude and consumer attitude. The study was done on 600 respondents. The area of study was Dehradun, Haridwar and Roorkee, three cities in Uttarakhand, India. The objective of the study was to find the respondent’s level of environmental awareness, to measure their level of environmental attitude and consumer attitude and to find out if a relationship existed between environmental awareness and environment attitude and its dimensions. Further the relationship between environmental awareness and consumer attitude was also found. Factorial design was used and levels of awareness were matched with levels of occupation and gender.Stratified random sampling, a probability sampling technique, was used to choose the sample.Environmental Awareness Test (EAWT) by Dr. K. Yeshodhara was used to assess the environmental awareness of the subjects. Taj Environmental Attitude Scale (TEAS) by Dr. Haseen Taj was used to measure the environmental attitude of the respondents and Consumer Attitude Scale (CAS) was designed by author to measure the consumer attitude of the respondents.  Correlation was calculated to analyse the data and to test the proposed hypothesis. The findings revealed a significant correlation among the variables.

Abstract: Materials with improved tribological properties have become the pre-requisite of advanced engineering design. Surface metal matrix composites (SMMCs) exhibit a unified combination of good tribological properties and high toughness of the interior bulk metal when compared with monolithic materials. Friction stir processing, a microstructure modification technique, has emerged as one of the processes used for fabrication of SMMCs. Commercial cast or wrought type Mg–Al–Zn AZ-series alloys, such as AZ91, AZ61 or AZ31 with 3–9 wt.% Al and 1 wt.% Zn, have been widely used in automobiles or electronic appliances. Due to low percentage of alloying elements/second phase elements in these alloys, the grain refinement and hence the mechanical properties such as hardness cannot be appreciably enhanced. In this study, FSP was used to fabricate AZ31 based nanocomposite using TiC as reinforcement. FSP was performed at a fixed volume fraction of TiC under varying cooling conditions. Tribological performance of the fabricated composite was investigated using pin-on-disc wear test arrangement. The analysis of the wear surfaces as well as wear debris analysis was done using SEM equipped with EDS. The fabricated composite was found to exhibit superior wear resistance.

Abstract: There are various descriptions of Organizational Learning Capabilities, various theories and concepts have been associated with this concept, yet many things remain unexplored. This paper is going to expose the various concepts relating to the Organizational Learning expositions, whereby bringing about clarity in its understanding as a theory and the deductions made by various empirical studies as well. However this is a conceptual paper that is going to bring about clarity with respect to Organizational Learning theory, the major premises on which it rests, and the factors of Organizational Learning that really makes the organization adapt and function as per the requirement of the current times.

Abstract: The study was conducted to determine the effect of duration of night interruption using incandescent bulbs on sustained quality flower production of potted standard Chrysanthemum cv. Kikiobiory. The different night interruption (NI) treatments i.e. control, 〈 5 sec. flash, 30-, 60-, 90- and 120- min. significantly (p 〈 0.05) affected allthe vegetative and floral parameters. The plant height, number of leaves and root suckers per plant increased with the increase duration of NI treatments with maximum at 120- min. NI (90.42 cm, 34.75 and 12.10, respectively). The days taken to flower bud appearance, colour break stage and full bloom were delayed, whereas flower quality with respect to duration of flowering and flower diameter were deteriorated with increase in duration of NI treatments. The days taken to flower bud appearance, colour break stage and full bloom were highest at 120- min. NI (136.84, 183.22 and 202.25 days, respectively) which delayed the flowering by 63.94 days, where full bloom flower appeared in March. There was reduction in duration of flowering and flower diameter with increased NI duration with lowest at 120 min. NI (7.83 days and 15.69 cm). It was observed that increase (120 min.) in night interruption increased the vegetative growth and delayed the flowering; however, flower quality was deteriorated. Thus, it was concluded that 60 min. NI improved flower quality with sustained flower production in potted Chrysanthemum cv. Kikiobiory.
