[email: raronson@jaguarl.usouthal.edu] writes: On a visit to the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences a few years ago, I came across a small block of fossil brittlestars. The brittlestars were well-preserved and articulated, and they formed almost the entire volume of the block, which is 8 cm x 7 cm x 4 cm thick. The only data accompanying the block were on a small card, written in an archaic hand: Ophiuran Limestone J. Struthers Jurassic? I would be grateful for any information on the age and provenance of the block, as well as details about Struthers that might help me learn...
