    Abstract: The convergence of MANET and satellite networks has been considered as one of the potential solutions to provide emergency communication and disaster relief services. However, unreliable MANET and satellite links may influence seriously to data transmission. In this paper, we study the application of packet-level coding for enhancing network throughput for multicast services over integrated MANET-satellite networks. First, we characterize the performance of multicast networks in terms of the probability of packet delivery under different packet-level codes. We then formulate and solve the coding optimization problem for typical values of computational resources at the network nodes given some target probability of successful delivery to the receivers. Finally, several simulation results show significant gains in the average achievable rate at the receivers with respect to routing for representative scenarios with different types of network devices given a strictly-high probability of successful delivery of the multicast networks. Furthermore, the devices with higher computational resources can obtain significantly better throughput gain.

    Abstract: E-learning has become a trend in university education around the world, especially in the context of the increasingly widespread and complicated COVID-19 epidemic over the last two years. Online teaching and learning are considered a temporary solution for the education industry nationwide. Teaching and learning online opens up many opportunities but also brings many challenges for students and lecturers. This study investigates the effect of critical success factors (CSFs) on e-learning at universities and colleges which are members of the EMVITET project. Five categories were firstly identified via the literature and a questionnaire using the Likert scale was then carried out to evaluate the importance of each factor from students’ perspectives. Analytical results indicated 25 CSFs that influence the success of e-learning. Internet quality, self-efficacy, learning materials. are available and up-to-date, enthusiasm while teaching, and Content and property of subject are the top five influential factors that impact the e-learning success. This study, thus, supports leaders and teachers at universities and colleges in making decisions and strategies about e-learning.

    Abstract: Trong bài báo này, một phương pháp điều chế độ rộng xung sin cải tiến (MSPWM) cho nghịch lưu hình T tăng áp tựa khóa chuyển mạch ba bậc (TL-qSBT2I) để giảm tổng độ méo dạng sóng hài (THD) cũng như chỉ số điều chế cao được trình bày. Trạng thái ngắn mạch nửa trên (UST) và ngắn mạch nửa dưới (LST) được đề xuất để điều khiển. Phương pháp điều chế độ rộng xung sin cải tiến không chỉ tăng áp mà còn cải thiện chất lượng điện áp đầu ra so với phương pháp điều chế độ rộng xung thông thường. Ngoài ra, để giảm độ gợn dòng điện cuộn dây ngõ vào bằng cách sử dụng hai sóng mang tần số cao vcar1 và vcar2, trong đó vcar2 được tạo ra bằng cách dịch pha 900 từ vcar1. Để chứng minh nguyên lý hoạt động của TL-qSBT2I, những kết quả mô phỏng được trình bày trong bài báo này.

    Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has been posing substantial challenges to every aspect of human society over the last two years. In Vietnam, all educational institutions have struggled to quickly build and operate their online systems while their teachers have tried their best to adapt to the online environment. Fortunately, the EMVITET Erasmus+ capacity-building project has been punctually and effectively implemented since early 2019 to provide its six partners in Vietnam with significant support to enhance their digital competencies. Several capacity-building activities in the project have been conducted so far. This paper aims at assessing the impacts of the project by evaluating the effectiveness of online teaching at the partner institutions from the teachers’ perspectives after about 3 years of project implementation. Based on the responses from 101 teachers collected with a self-completed online questionnaire, it is found that the EMVITET project has greatly supported the partner institutions in successfully deploying an online environment for their teaching-learning activities. Especially, online teaching has proved its effectiveness in improving the diversity of educational activities, collaboration among colleagues, knowledge transmission, faster interaction among lecturers and students as well as the diverse approaches for teachers to evaluate student learning, students’ diligence, students’ engagement in their studies and research, and soft skills during their study online, among others.

    Abstract: Bài báo này trình bày thiết kế và thi công một bộ tính toán FFT (Fast Fourier transform) 16 điểm dựa trên công nghệ FPGA với kiểu dữ liệu là số phức trong đó phần thực và phần ảo được biểu diễn dưới dạng số thực dấu chấm tĩnh. Trong đó, một số thực dấu chấm tĩnh được xác định bằng 16 bit với bit trọng số cao là bit dấu bù 2, 9 bit tiếp theo là phần nguyên, 6 bit cuối là phần phân số. Thông qua các kết quả đánh giá qua mô phỏng và thực thi thực tế trên kit FPGA, chúng tôi chỉ ra tính hiệu quả của thiết kế được đề xuất so với một số thiết kế đang có. Tần số hoạt động của hệ thống là 149.867 MHz cho ra 4,683,343 phép tính FFT 16 điểm mỗi giây và sai số của các kết quả thấp (chỉ khoảng 0.3). Từ bộ tính toán FFT này, có thể mở rộng để thực hiện các biến đổi nhiều điểm hơn do được thiết kế theo kiến trúc pipeline với các khối dễ dàng thay đổi kích thước cũng như có thể nhúng vào các hệ thống yêu cầu bộ tính toán FFT 16 điểm.
