    Abstract: Purpose: Skeletal muscle dysfunction is common in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and is associated with a poor prognosis. Abnormal muscle quantity of the lower limbs is a manifestation of skeletal muscle dysfunction in patients with COPD. Shear wave ultrasound elastography (SWE) is a novel and possible tool to evaluate qualitative muscle parameters. This study explores the feasibility of SWE to measure the stiffness of the rectus femoris and evaluates its value in predicting sarcopenia in patients with COPD. Methods: Ultrasound examination of the rectus femoris was performed to determine the mean elasticity index (SWE mean ), cross-sectional area (RF csa ), and thickness (RF thick ) using grayscale ultrasonography (US) and SWE in 53 patients with COPD and 23 age-matched non-COPD healthy controls. The serum levels of circulating biomarkers (GDF15, resistin, and TNF-α) were measured using ELISA. The definition of sarcopenia followed the guidelines from the Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis of the SWE mean , RF thick , and RF csa was used to evaluate their predictive ability for sarcopenia. Results: The intraobserver and interobserver repeatability of SWE performance was excellent (all correlation coefficients  & gt; 0.95; p   & lt; 0.05). The SWE mean of the rectus femoris in patients with COPD (8.98 ± 3.12 kPa) was decreased compared with that in healthy controls (17.00 ± 5.14 kPa) and decreased with advanced global initiative for chronic obstructive lung disease (GOLD) stage. Furthermore, SWE mean was found to be independent of sex, height, and body mass, and a lower SWE mean in patients with COPD was positively associated with reduced pulmonary function, worse physical function, poor exercise tolerance, decreased muscle strength, and worse dyspnea index score. The correlation between physical function [five-repetition sit-to-stand test (5STST)], muscle function, and SWE mean was higher than those of RF thick and RF csa . In addition, SWE mean was negatively correlated with serum GDF15 levels ( r  = −0.472, p   & lt; 0.001), serum resistin levels ( r  = −0.291, p  = 0.035), and serum TNF-α levels ( r  = −0.433, p  = 0.001). Finally, the predictive power of SWE mean [area under the curve (AUC): 0.863] in the diagnosis of sarcopenia was higher than that of RF thick (AUC: 0.802) and RF csa (AUC: 0.816). Conclusion: Compared with grayscale US, SWE was not affected by the patient’s height, weight, or BMI and better represented skeletal muscle function and physical function. Furthermore, SWE is a promising potential tool to predict sarcopenia in patients with COPD.

    Abstract: To develop a radiomics nomogram for predicting microvascular invasion (MVI) before surgery in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. Materials and Methods The data from a total of 189 HCC patients (training cohort: n = 141; validation cohort: n = 48) were collected, involving the clinical data and imaging characteristics. Radiomics features of all patients were extracted from hepatobiliary phase (HBP) in 15 min. Least absolute shrinkage selection operator (LASSO) regression and logistic regression were utilized to reduce data dimensions, feature selection, and to construct a radiomics signature. Clinicoradiological factors were identified according to the univariate and multivariate analyses, which were incorporated into the final predicted nomogram. A nomogram was developed to predict MVI of HCC by combining radiomics signatures and clinicoradiological factors. Radiomics nomograms were evaluated for their discrimination capability, calibration, and clinical usefulness. Results In the clinicoradiological factors, gender, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) level, tumor shape and halo sign served as the independent risk factors of MVI, with which the area under the curve (AUC) is 0.802. Radiomics signatures covering 14 features at HBP 15 min can effectively predict MVI in HCC, to construct radiomics signature model, with the AUC of 0.732. In the final nomogram model the clinicoradiological factors and radiomics signatures were integrated, outperforming the clinicoradiological model (AUC 0.884 vs. 0.802; p & lt;0.001) and radiomics signatures model (AUC 0.884 vs. 0.732; p & lt; 0.001) according to Delong test results. A robust calibration and discrimination were demonstrated in the nomogram model. The results of decision curve analysis (DCA) showed more significantly clinical efficiency of the nomogram model in comparison to the clinicoradiological model and the radiomic signature model. Conclusions Depending on the clinicoradiological factors and radiological features on HBP 15 min images, nomograms can effectively predict MVI status in HCC patients.

    Abstract: There are a large number of smart terminal devices in the power Internet of things, which are facing a variety of security threats. In this paper, structure of the power IoT is introduced, security risks of the terminal devices in the perception layer of the power IoT are analyzed, and security requirements and authentication technologies of identity authentication of the terminals are studied. Then a lightweight flexible authentication method suitable for terminal devices in the power IoT is proposed to implement direct peer to peer authentication between terminal devices, which is based on the public key encryption technology and the assistance of lightweight certificate server. Relying on this method, the central security risk and performance bottleneck of the certificate server are reduced effectively, the fake attacks against the terminal devices can be prevented, and the illegal use of terminal devices can be found timely.

    Abstract: The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a pivotal role in cancer progression in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), yet the composition and the phenotype of cells within the TME in bilateral PTC are poorly understood. Methods We performed unbiased transcriptome-wide single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis on 29,561 cells from 3 pairs of bilateral PTC and 1 non-tumor thyroid sample. The results of the analysis were validated by a large-scale bulk transcriptomic dataset deposited in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Results Our integrative analysis of thyroid follicular cells revealed 42 signaling pathways enriched in malignant follicular cells, including cytokine–cytokine receptor interaction, PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling pathway. A 6-gene signature ( CXCL3 , CXCL1 , IL1A , CCL5 , TNFRSF12A , and IL18 ) in the cytokine–cytokine receptor interaction pathway was constructed to predict the prognosis of patients with PTC, with high risk scores being associated with decreased overall survival [hazard ratio (HR) = 3.863, 95% CI = 2.233−6.682, p & lt; 0.001]. Gene set variation analysis (GSVA) indicated that the pathways enriched in bilateral PTC were significantly different, indicating great heterogeneity in bilateral PTC, even with the same BRAF V600E mutation. Comprehensive analysis of T cells revealed that the proportion of CD8 + tissue-resident memory T cells expressing IFNG decreased in tumor samples with advanced N stage. Within the myeloid compartment, the ratio of suppressive M2-like to pro-inflammatory M1-like macrophages increased with advanced disease stage, which was confirmed in the bulk dataset using transcriptomic profiles. In addition, we also identified numerous biologically critical interactions among myeloid cells, T cells, and follicular cells, which were related to T-cell recruitment, M2-like macrophage polarization, malignant follicular cell progression, and T-cell inhibitory signaling. Conclusion Our integrative analyses revealed great inter-tumor heterogeneity within the TME in bilateral PTC, which will offer assistance for precise diagnosis and treatment.

    Abstract: To evaluate and compare the predictive performance of different deep learning models using gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced MRI in predicting microvascular invasion (MVI) in hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods The data of 233 patients with pathologically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated at our hospital from June 2016 to June 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Three deep learning models were constructed based on three different delineate methods of the region of interest (ROI) using the Darwin Scientific Research Platform (Beijing Yizhun Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., China). Manual segmentation of ROI was performed on the T1-weighted axial Hepatobiliary phase images. According to the ratio of 7:3, the samples were divided into a training set (N=163) and a validation set (N=70). The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the predictive performance of three models, and their sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were assessed. Results Among 233 HCC patients, 109 were pathologically MVI positive, including 91 men and 18 women, with an average age of 58.20 ± 10.17 years; 124 patients were MVI negative, including 93 men and 31 women, with an average age of 58.26 ± 10.20 years. Among three deep learning models, 2D-expansion-DL model and 3D-DL model showed relatively good performance, the AUC value were 0.70 (P=0.003) (95% CI 0.57–0.82) and 0.72 (P & lt;0.001) (95% CI 0.60–0.84), respectively. In the 2D-expansion-DL model, the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity were 0.7143, 0.739 and 0.688. In the 3D-DL model, the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity were 0.6714, 0.800 and 0.575, respectively. Compared with the 3D-DL model (based on 3D-ResNet), the 2D-DL model is smaller in scale and runs faster. The frames per second (FPS) for the 2D-DL model is 244.7566, which is much larger than that of the 3D-DL model (73.3374). Conclusion The deep learning model based on Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI could preoperatively evaluate MVI in HCC. Considering that the predictive performance of 2D-expansion-DL model was almost the same as the 3D-DL model and the former was relatively easy to implement, we prefer the 2D-expansion-DL model in practical research.

    Abstract: Air cooling channel is very important to avoid the ablation of ignition spark plug by reducing the temperature on the end face, and thus increase the service life of the spark plug. For a typical aero-engine ignition spark plug, coupled simulation model describing the flow in the air cooling channel as well as the heat transfer overall the spark plug has been established with a CFD software. Orthogonal experiments have been performed to analyze the influence of the design parameters on the air flowrate and end surface temperature On the basis of orthogonal experiment, the cooling channel is optimized by multi-factor analysis of variance The results demonstrate that: (1) The most important issue that influence the overall flowrate in cooling channel and the maximum temperature on the ignition end face is the number of holes on end face, and second one is the outlet diameter, while the influence of inlet diameter is not significant. (2) There is a better structural design for the cooling channel of the spark plug. The optimized air cooling channel increases the volume flow rate by 52.21% compared to the original scheme, which helps maintain the maximum temperature of the ignition end face of the spark plug below 368.2°C.

    Abstract: Addressing the conflict between fossil fuel exploitation, usage, and greenhouse gas emissions is a top priority for China’s low-carbon socioeconomic development. Scalable Axisymmetric Matrix “a computerized general equilibrium model” is used to assess the impact of carbon tax policies on energy usage, carbon pollution, and macroeconomic drivers at reduction levels of 10%, 20%, and 30% of emissions. In the meantime, we examine the impact of various carbon tax recycling schemes in line with the tax neutrality concept. Although the carbon tax successfully reduces carbon emissions, we conclude that it will have a detrimental effect on the economy and social well-being. To cope with China’s increasing pollution emissions and ecological imbalances, the Chinese government promulgated the environmental protection tax law of the people’s Republic of China, which was officially implemented in 2018. Although carbon dioxide is not included in the Taxable Pollutants and Single Quantity Table attached to this law, China has almost reached a consensus on taxing carbon emissions. In 2021, the State Council of China issued the opinions on completely, accurately, and comprehensively implementing the new development concept and doing a good job in carbon peak and carbon neutralization, which made a comprehensive deployment to achieve the “double carbon” goal and improved the carbon tax policy and legal system, which is an essential part of it. Therefore, based on fiscal neutrality, an effective carbon tax recycling scheme can mitigate the adverse effects of its adoption. However, due to the current development in China’s energy-generating and transportation sectors, even minor steps can have huge effects on emissions with marginal economic implications.

    Abstract: The Munake grape cultivar produces uniquely flavored and high-quality fruits. Despite the numerous beneficial agronomic traits of Munake, there are few genetic resources available for this cultivar. To address this knowledge gap, the entire genome was sequenced using whole-genome sequencing approaches and compared with a Vitis vinifera L. reference genome. This study describes more than 3 million single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), 300,000 insertion and deletion (InDel), 14,000 structural variation (SV), and 80,000 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers (one SSR per 4.23 kb), as well as their primers. Among the SSRs, 44 SSR primer pairs were randomly selected and validated by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), allowing discrimination between the different Munake cultivar genotypes. The genetic data provided allow a deeper understanding of Munake cultivar genomic sequence and contribute to better knowledge of the genetic basis behind its key agronomic traits.
