Abstract: This paper describes a method for nonrigid registration of monomodal MRI based on physical laws. The proposed method assumes that the properties of image deformations are like those of viscoelastic matter, which exhibits the properties of both an elastic solid and a viscous fluid. Therefore, the deformation fields of the deformed image are constrained by both sets of properties. After global registration, the local shape variations are assumed to have the properties of the Maxwell model of linear viscoelasticity, and the deformation fields are constrained by the corresponding partial differential equations. To speed up the registration, an adaptive force is introduced according to the maximum displacement of each iteration. Both synthetic datasets and real datasets are used to evaluate the proposed method. We compare the results of the linear viscoelastic model with those of the fluid model on the basis of both the standard and adaptive forces. The results demonstrate that the adaptive force increases in both models and that the linear viscoelastic model improves the registration accuracy.

Abstract: This paper deals with an inverse problem for identifying an unknown source which depends only on one variable in two-dimensional Poisson equation, with the aid of an extra measurement at an internal point. Since this problem is illposed, we obtain the regularization solution by the modified regularization method. Furthermore, we obtain the Hölder-type error estimate between the regularization solution and the exact solution. The numerical results show that the proposed method is stable and the unknown source is recovered very well.

Abstract: The global well-posedness of rough solutions to the Cauchy problem for the Davey-Stewartson system is obtained. It reads that if the initial data is in H s with s 〉 2/5, then there exists a global solution in time, and the H s norm of the solution obeys polynomial-in-time bounds. The new ingredient in this paper is an interaction Morawetz estimate, which generates a new space-time L t , x 4 estimate for nonlinear equation with the relatively general defocusing power nonlinearity.

Abstract: This paper is mainly devoted to the study of implicit multifunction theorems in terms of Clarke coderivative in general Banach spaces. We present new sufficient conditions for the local metric regularity, metric regularity, Lipschitz-like property, nonemptiness, and lower semicontinuity of implicit multifunctions in general Banach spaces. The basic tools of our analysis involve the Ekeland variational principle, the Clarke subdifferential, and the Clarke coderivative.

Abstract: This paper discusses the problem of determining an unknown source which depends only on one variable for the modified Helmholtz equation. This problem is ill-posed in the sense that the solution (if it exists) does not depend continuously on the data. The regularization solution is obtained by the quasireversibility regularization method. Convergence estimate is presented between the exact solution and the regularization solution. Moreover, numerical results are presented to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of this method.

Abstract: Synchronization is the strongest form of collective phenomena in complex systems of interacting components. In this paper, the problem of cluster projective synchronization of complex networks with fractional-order nodes based on the fractional-order differential equation stability theory is investigated. Only the nodes in one community which have direct connections to the nodes in other communities are controlled. Some sufficient synchronization conditions are derived via pinning control. Numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Abstract: To solve the charge planning problem involving charges and the orders in each charge, a traveling salesman problem based charge planning model and the improved cross entropy algorithm are proposed. Firstly, the charge planning problem with unknown charge number is modeled as a traveling salesman problem. The objective of the model is to minimize the dissimilarity costs between each order and its charge center order, the open order costs, and the unselected order costs. Secondly, the improved cross entropy algorithm is proposed with the improved initial state transition probability matrix which is constructed according to the differences of steel grades and order widths between orders. Finally, an actual numerical example shows the effectiveness of the model and the algorithm.

Abstract: A supervised approach to online-learn a structured sparse and discriminative representation for object tracking is presented. Label information from training data is incorporated into the dictionary learning process to construct a robust and discriminative dictionary. This is accomplished by adding an ideal-code regularization term and classification error term to the total objective function. By minimizing the total objective function, we learn the high quality dictionary and optimal linear multiclassifier jointly using iterative reweighed least squares algorithm. Combined with robust sparse coding, the learned classifier is employed directly to separate the object from background. As the tracking continues, the proposed algorithm alternates between robust sparse coding and dictionary updating. Experimental evaluations on the challenging sequences show that the proposed algorithm performs favorably against state-of-the-art methods in terms of effectiveness, accuracy, and robustness.
