Abstract: This paper proposes a stepped selection method based on spectral kurtosis relative energy entropy. Firstly, the length and type of window function are set; then when fault occurs, enter step 1: the polarity of first half-wave extremes is analyzed; if the ratios of extremes between neighboring lines are positive, the bus bar is the fault line, else, the SK relative energy entropies are calculated, and then enter step 2: if the obtained entropy multiple is bigger than the threshold or equal to the threshold, the overhead line of max entropy corresponding is the fault line, if not, enter step 3: the line of max entropy corresponding is the fault line. At last, the applicability of the proposed algorithm is presented, and the comparison results are discussed.

Abstract: A novel characteristic expanded mixed finite element method is proposed and analyzed for reaction-convection-diffusion problems. The diffusion term ∇ · ( a ( x , t ) ∇ u ) is discretized by the novel expanded mixed method, whose gradient belongs to the square integrable space instead of the classical H ( d i v ; Ω ) space and the hyperbolic part d ( x )( ∂ u / ∂ t )+ c ( x , t ) · ∇ u is handled by the characteristic method. For a priori error estimates, some important lemmas based on the novel expanded mixed projection are introduced. The fully discrete error estimates based on backward Euler scheme are obtained. Moreover, the optimal a priori error estimates in L 2 - and H 1 -norms for the scalar unknown u and a priori error estimates in ( L 2 ) 2 -norm for its gradient λ and its flux σ (the coefficients times the negative gradient) are derived. Finally, a numerical example is provided to verify our theoretical results.

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the problem of designing disturbance observer for fractional order systems, of which the disturbance is in time series expansion. The stability of a special observer with the selected nonlinear weighted function and transient dynamics function is rigorously analyzed for slowly varying disturbance. In addition, the result is also extended to estimate slope forms disturbance and higher order disturbance of fractional order systems. The efficacy of the proposed method is validated through numerical examples.

Abstract: For constrained minimization problem of maximum eigenvalue functions, since the objective function is nonsmooth, we can use the approximate inexact accelerated proximal gradient (AIAPG) method (Wang et al., 2013) to solve its smooth approximation minimization problem. When we take the function g ( X ) = δ Ω ( X )     ( Ω ∶ = { X ∈ S n : F ( X ) = b , X ⪰ 0 } ) in the problem min { λ max ( X ) + g ( X ) : X ∈ S n } , where λ max ( X ) is the maximum eigenvalue function, g ( X ) is a proper lower semicontinuous convex function (possibly nonsmooth) and δ Ω ( X ) denotes the indicator function. But the approximate minimizer generated by AIAPG method must be contained in Ω otherwise the method will be invalid. In this paper, we will consider the case where the approximate minimizer cannot be guaranteed in Ω . Thus we will propose two different strategies, respectively, constructing the feasible solution and designing a new method named relax inexact accelerated proximal gradient (RIAPG) method. It is worth mentioning that one advantage when compared to the former is that the latter strategy can overcome the drawback. The drawback is that the required conditions are too strict. Furthermore, the RIAPG method inherits the global iteration complexity and attractive computational advantage of AIAPG method.

Abstract: We introduce an approach exploiting the power of polynomial ring algebra to perform SystemVerilog assertion verification over digital circuit systems. This method is based on Groebner bases theory and sequential properties checking. We define a constrained subset of SVAs so that an efficient polynomial modeling mechanism for both circuit descriptions and assertions can be applied. We present an algorithm framework based on the algebraic representations using Groebner bases for concurrent SVAs checking. Case studies show that computer algebra can provide canonical symbolic representations for both assertions and circuit designs and can act as a novel solver engine from the viewpoint of symbolic computation.

Abstract: While the process of intelligent industrial production is accelerating, the application scope of welding robots is also expanding. For the purpose of reducing the work efficiency and time consumption of the welding robot, the ACO is used for the shortest distance and the GA is used for the shortest time fixed-point path trajectory optimization. The application of parameter optimization and random disturbance factor in the ACO increases the global search performance of the algorithm. In the shortest time trajectory optimization, the B-spline curve interpolation method and the GA are combined to carry out the segmental optimization processing. Simulation experiments show that the optimization strategy of ACO can increase the iterative calculation efficiency and path optimization performance of the algorithm. At the same time, the robot with optimized genetic algorithm has smaller fluctuations in joint angle and angular velocity in the simulated welding task, and the optimization algorithm takes 17.6 s less than the traditional particle swarm algorithm and 11 s less than the single A ∗ algorithm. The experiments confirmed the performance of the ACO-GA for the path optimization of the welding robot, and research can provide a scientific path optimization reference for the welding task of the industrial production line.

Abstract: The estimate of the upper bounds of eigenvalues for a class of systems of ordinary differential equations with higher order is considered by using the calculus theory. Several results about the upper bound inequalities of the ()th eigenvalue are obtained by the first eigenvalues. The estimate coefficients do not have any relation to the geometric measure of the domain. This kind of problem is interesting and significant both in theory of systems of differential equations and in applications to mechanics and physics.

Abstract: Ontology, as a useful tool, is widely applied in lots of areas such as social science, computer science, and medical science. Ontology concept similarity calculation is the key part of the algorithms in these applications. A recent approach is to make use of similarity between vertices on ontology graphs. It is, instead of pairwise computations, based on a function that maps the vertex set of an ontology graph to real numbers. In order to obtain this, the ranking learning problem plays an important and essential role, especially k -partite ranking algorithm, which is suitable for solving some ontology problems. A ranking function is usually used to map the vertices of an ontology graph to numbers and assign ranks of the vertices through their scores. Through studying a training sample, such a function can be learned. It contains a subset of vertices of the ontology graph. A good ranking function means small ranking mistakes and good stability. For ranking algorithms, which are in a well-stable state, we study generalization bounds via some concepts of algorithmic stability. We also find that kernel-based ranking algorithms stated as regularization schemes in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces satisfy stability conditions and have great generalization abilities.

Abstract: A new positive definite expanded mixed finite element method is proposed for parabolic partial integrodifferential equations. Compared to expanded mixed scheme, the new expanded mixed element system is symmetric positive definite and both the gradient equation and the flux equation are separated from its scalar unknown equation. The existence and uniqueness for semidiscrete scheme are proved and error estimates are derived for both semidiscrete and fully discrete schemes. Finally, some numerical results are provided to confirm our theoretical analysis.
