    Kurzfassung: In this paper, we mainly study the properties of transcendental meromorphic solutions f ( z ) of difference Painlevé equations w ( z + 1 ) w ( z - 1 ) ( w ( z ) - 1 ) = η ( z ) w 2 ( z ) - λ ( z ) w ( z ) and w ( z + 1 ) w ( z - 1 ) ( w ( z ) - 1 ) = η ( z ) w ( z ) and obtain precise estimations of the exponents of convergence of zeros, poles of Δ f ( z ) and Δ f ( z ) / f ( z ) , and of fixed points of f ( z + c ) for any c ∈ ℂ .

    Kurzfassung: In offshore oil and gas engineering the pipeline abandonment and recovery is unavoidable and its mechanical analysis is necessary and important. For this problem a third-order differential equation is used as the governing equation in this paper, rather than the traditional second-order one. The mathematical model of pipeline abandonment and recovery is a moving boundary value problem, which means that it is hard to determine the length of the suspended pipeline segment. A novel technique for the handling of the moving boundary condition is proposed, which can tackle the moving boundary condition without contact analysis. Based on a traditional numerical method, the problem is solved directly by the proposed technique. The results of the presented method are in good agreement with the results of the traditional finite element method coupled with contact analysis. Finally, an approximate formula for quick calculation of the suspended pipeline length is proposed based on Buckingham’s Pi-theorem and mathematical fitting.

    Kurzfassung: Let Y be a real separable Banach space and let 𝒦 C Y , d ∞ be the subspace of all normal fuzzy convex and upper semicontinuous fuzzy sets of Y equipped with the supremum metric d ∞ . In this paper, we introduce several types of additive fuzzy set-valued functional equations in 𝒦 C Y , d ∞ . Using the fixed point technique, we discuss the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of three types additive fuzzy set-valued functional equations, that is, the generalized Cauchy type, the Jensen type, and the Cauchy-Jensen type additive fuzzy set-valued functional equations. Our results can be regarded as important extensions of stability results corresponding to single-valued functional equations and set-valued functional equations, respectively.

    Kurzfassung: We introduce a class of functions called geodesic B -preinvex and geodesic B -invex functions on Riemannian manifolds and generalize the notions to the so-called geodesic quasi/pseudo B -preinvex and geodesic quasi/pseudo B -invex functions. We discuss the links among these functions under appropriate conditions and obtain results concerning extremum points of a nonsmooth geodesic B -preinvex function by using the proximal subdifferential. Moreover, we study a differentiable multiobjective optimization problem involving new classes of generalized geodesic B -invex functions and derive Kuhn-Tucker-type sufficient conditions for a feasible point to be an efficient or properly efficient solution. Finally, a Mond-Weir type duality is formulated and some duality results are given for the pair of primal and dual programming.

    Kurzfassung: This paper studies feature selection for support vector machine (SVM). By the use of the L 1 / 2 regularization technique, we propose a new model L 1 / 2 -SVM. To solve this nonconvex and non-Lipschitz optimization problem, we first transform it into an equivalent quadratic constrained optimization model with linear objective function and then develop an interior point algorithm. We establish the convergence of the proposed algorithm. Our experiments with artificial data and real data demonstrate that the L 1 / 2 -SVM model works well and the proposed algorithm is more effective than some popular methods in selecting relevant features and improving classification performance.

    Kurzfassung: Steel catenary riser (SCR) is a cost-effective riser system that is widely used in deepwater offshore oilfields development. During SCR J-lay installation, the movement of pull-head must be carefully controlled to ensure riser safety. Since the SCR installation path calculation through numerical simulation software is usually time-consuming, this paper has established a mechanical model for SCR installation by making use of homotopy analysis method (HAM) to simplify its analytical solution, and dimensional analysis was considered in making initial guess solution. Based on this analytical solution, a program within the framework of MATLAB was developed to predict the two-dimensional riser behavior during installation, and a sensitivity analysis for different values of the control variables was carried out. Engineers may efficiently optimize the installation path by the application of this technique.

    Kurzfassung: The concepts of α ω -remote neighborhood family, γ ω -cover, and Lω -compactness are defined in Lω -spaces. The characterizations of Lω -compactness are systematically discussed. Some important properties of Lω -compactness such as ω -closed heredity, arbitrarily multiplicative property, and preserving invariance under ω -continuous mappings are obtained. Finally, the Alexander ω -subbase lemma and the Tychonoff product theorem with respect to Lω -compactness are given.
