Abstract: The Family Health Strategy has as its main purpose to reorganize the practice of attention to health in new bases and to substitute the traditional model existing in Brazil. The new curriculum guidelines to graduate health professionals propose a general formation as well as ethics, having as its main focus the largest approach to the local health services. However, Nutrition still does not present a regulation for an active participation in the Family Health Strategy. Considering this fact, the Family Health Strategy is directly linked to people's welfare in many aspects (social, nutritional, psychological, etc). Therefore, this work intends to present the importance of the insertion of a nutritionist in the Family Health Strategy for the integrality of health actions. The conclusion is that nutritionist is fully qualified to work in the Family Health Strategy, because the absence of this professional is against the principle of the integrality of the health actions, as it is evident that no other health professional possesses education to work with food and nutrition within the communities and this presence would contribute to promote people's health.

Abstract: Abstract This article seeks to identify the factors associated with a longer duration of breastfeeding. A nested case-control study was carried out with a cohort of mothers for about two years after they gave birth to their children in the two largest public maternity hospitals in João Pessoa - PB. Mothers who breastfed up to 15 months were considered as cases (n = 55) and those who breastfed for more than 15 months (n = 48) were considered controls. The exposure variables were maternal socioeconomic characteristics, gestational characteristics, birth characteristics and early introduction of food. The Chi-Square test was applied to select the independent variables (p-value 〈 = 0.20) to be entered into a multiple logistic regression model, with only those with a p-value 〈 = 0.05 being kept in the final model. The early introduction of infant formula (OR = 4.71, CI95%: 1.76 - 12.63), other milks (OR = 3.25, CI95%: 1.27 - 8.31) and having less than six prenatal consultations (OR = 2.73, CI95%: 1.04 - 7.07) were risk factors for a shorter breastfeeding duration. The early introduction of infant formulas or other milks may be an important indicator for the adoption of appropriate breastfeeding promotion and support actions to achieve the WHO target of breastfeeding for two years or longer.

Abstract: Objective The aim of this study was to assess the main patterns of adherence to the cancer prevention guidelines proposed by the 2018 World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute for Cancer Research (WCRF/AICR) by breast cancer survivors. Methods Cross-sectional study that used the Principal Component Factor Analysis to identify the adherence patterns and the highest (Q4) and lowest (Q1) quartiles of each pattern. Results Two main adherence patterns were identified: ‘grains/fruits/fiber’ —adherence to a healthy body mass index (BMI), a diet rich in grains, vegetables, fruits and beans and total fiber—; a second, ‘fast-food/sugar’ —adherence to the BMI, limiting the consumption of fast food, processed foods, sugar and starch and the consumption of sugary drinks—. The ‘fast-food/sugar’ pattern has the greatest influence on BMI (0.4672). Lower weight (p=0.005; p=0.001) and BMI (p=0.001; p 〈 0.001) are observed in women at the Q4 of the two patterns, respectively. Conclusions Breast cancer survivors have a pattern of adherence to the guidelines characterized by greater consumption of grains, vegetables, fruits, beans, and fiber; and another characterized by a limited consumption of processed foods and sugary drinks, with a greater impact on BMI.
