    Abstract: In view of the existing research in the field of k-nearest neighbor query in the road network, the incompleteness of the query user’s preference for data objects and the privacy protection of the query results are not considered, this paper proposes a multiuser incomplete preference k-nearest neighbor query algorithm based on differential privacy in the road network. The algorithm is divided into four parts; the first part proposes a multiuser incomplete preference completion algorithm based on association rules. The algorithm firstly uses the frequent pattern tree proposed in this paper to mine frequent item sets, then uses frequent item sets to mine strong correlation rules, and finally completes multiuser incomplete preference based on strong correlation rules. The second part proposes attribute preference weight coefficient based on multiuser’ s different preferences and clusters users accordingly. The third part compares the dominance of the query object, filters the data with low dominance, and performs a k-neighbor query. The fourth part proposes a privacy budget allocation method based on differential privacy technology. The method uses the Laplace mechanism to add noise to the result release and balance the privacy and availability of data. Theoretical research and experimental analysis show that the proposed method can better deal with the multiuser incomplete preference k-nearest neighbor query and privacy protection problems in the road network.

    Abstract: The natural ecological lands, such as forest land, grassland, wetland, etc., constitute the most important factor for maintaining and preserving the earth’s ecosystem, which must be well concerned in the regional function-oriented planning for the sustainability of human economic development. We analyzed and evaluated the change of natural ecological land in the function-oriented planning regions where we applied the major function-oriented zones introduced as a new concept in China. Using the land-use data from 2009 to 2018 that were produced by the National Land Use Survey, we re-classified natural ecological land types into the forest, grassland, wetland, and bare land, and then addressed the changes of natural ecological land types from 2009 to 2018 in the major function-oriented zones. As a result, the area of natural ecological lands generally tended to decrease from 2009 to 2018, while the decreasing trend of natural ecological land areas was controlled after 2015 with the implementation of governmental policies for environment protection and eco-logical projects. Especially, the decrease of forest land area significantly tended to be zero in 2018 in optimal development zones. The decreased areas of natural ecological lands were mostly converted from artificial land from 2008 to 2019. On the other side, the forest lands mostly changed from cropland and grassland in key development zones, agricultural production zones, and key ecological function zones, due to the fact that grassland conversed in afforestation during this period. The evaluation of natural ecological land changes, which could be implemented by using the annual updates of national land-use data in China, is significant to support the government’s spatial regulation design, to reshape the planned regions, and make policies for environmental restoration and protection management.

    Abstract: Connectivity modeling approaches for abandoned mine lands (AML) patches are limited in post-mining landscape restoration, especially where great land use changes might be expected due to large-scale land reclamation. This study presents a novel approach combining AML patch sizes with a proximity index to characterize patch-scaled connectivity for determining the spatial positions of patches with huge sizes and high connectivity. Then this study propose a scenario-based method coupled with landscape-scale metrics for quantifying landscape-scaled connectivity, which aims at exploring the optimal reclamation scheme with the highest connectivity. Using the Mentougou District in Beijing, China, as a case study, this paper confirmed which patches should be reclaimed first to meet the predetermined reclamation numbers; then this paper tested three different reclamation scenarios (i.e., cultivated land-oriented, forest-oriented, and construction land-oriented scenarios) to describe the impact of the different development strategies on landscape connectivity. The research found that the forest-oriented scenario increased connectivity quantitatively, showing an increase in the integral index of connectivity (IIC) and other landscape-scale metrics. Therefore, this paper suggests that future land-use policies should emphasize converting AML into more forest to blend in with the surrounding land-use categories. The findings presented here can contribute to better understanding the quantitative analysis of the connectivity of AML patches at both the patch scale and the landscape scale, thus providing scientific support for AML management in mine-site rehabilitation.

    Abstract: Studying the pattern of agricultural water demand under climate change has great significance for the regional water resources management, especially in arid areas. In this study, the future pattern of the irrigation demand in Hotan Oasis in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in Northwest China, including Hotan City, Hotan County, Moyu County and Luopu County, was assessed based on the general circulation models (GCMs) and the Surface Energy Balance System model (SEBS). Six different scenarios were used based on the GCMs of BCC_CSM1.1, HadGEM2-ES and MIROC-ESM-CHEM under the Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 and RCP 8.5. The results showed that the method integrating the GCMs and SEBS to predict the spatial pattern was useful. The irrigation demand of Hotan Oasis will increase in 2021–2040. The annual irrigation demand of Hotan City is higher, with 923.2 and 936.2 mm/a in 2021–2030 and 2031–2040, respectively. The other three regions (Hotan County, Moyu County and Luopu County) are lower in the six scenarios. The annual irrigation demand showed a spatial pattern of high in the middle, low in the northwest and southeast under the six scenarios in 2021–2040. The study can provide useful suggestions on the water resources allocation in different regions to protect water resources security in arid areas.

    Abstract: The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is an international non-profit standards organization. Established in 1994, OGC aims to make geospatial information and services FAIR-Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. OGC specifications have greatly facilitated interoperability among software, hardware, data, and users in the GIS field. This study collected publications related to OGC specifications from the Web of Science (WoS database) between 1994 to 2020 and conducted a literature analysis using Derwent Data Analyzer and VosViewer, finding that OGC specifications have been widely applied in academic fields. The most productive organizations were Wuhan University and George Mason University; the most common keywords were interoperability, data, and web service. Since 2018, the emerging keywords that have attracted much attention from researchers were 3D city models, 3D modeling, and smart cities. To make geospatial data FAIR, the OGC specifications SWE and WMS served more for “Findable”, SWE contributed more to “Accessible”, WPS and WCS served more for “Interoperable”, and WPS, XML schemas, WFS, and WMS served more for “Reusable”. The OGC specification also serves data and web services for large-scale infrastructure such as the Digital Earth Platform of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
