Kurzfassung: With increasing use of antibiotics, it becomes more and more important for selectively and sensitively detecting antibiotics. In this work, a new Zn(II) framework [Zn 2 (L)(NDC)(HCOO) 2 ] ⋅ 2H 2 O ( 1 ) was achieved by using organic ligands 3,3′,5,5′‐tetra(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)biphenyl (L) and 2,6‐naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (H 2 NDC). 1 has three‐dimensional (3D) framework structure and exhibits strong luminescence in the solid state as well as in the suspended acetonitrile solution. Furthermore, it was found that the emission of 1 can be quenched efficiently by trace amounts of nitrofuran antibiotics (NFs) including nitrofurazone (NZF), furazolidone (FZD) and nitrofurantoin (NFT) with detection limits of 184, 243 and 263 ppb for NZF, FZD and NFT, respectively, even in the presence of other antibiotics such as penicillin (PCL).

Kurzfassung: The ontogeny of the digestive tract in Platax teira was studied by means of optical microscopy from hatching to 30 days post-hatching. Collect fertilized eggs from P. teira broodstock, fertilize the eggs to hatch in hatching net bags, and rear the larvae in higher-place ponds. Observe the morphology and structure of the digestive tract of larvae 1-30 days post-hatching using tissue slicing technique. The results showed that the oral cavity of the larvae was closed and had not yet begun to differentiate at 1day post-hatching. Its digestive tract was close to the abdominal wall, and the yolk sac was completely dyed dark red. At 4 days post-hatching, the oropharyngeal cavity, esophagus, and stomach of the larvae had been communicated, and their oral cavity opened and food intake begins, entering the mixed period of endogenous nutrition and exogenous nutrition. Thereafter, the yolk sac gradually decreased to disappear, the esophagus, stomach, and intestines continued to differentiate, and their functions gradually improved. During 25-30 days post-hatching, the structure of the digestive tract of the larvae didn’t change much. Due to the increase in the size of the larvae, most changes in the digestive system are related to the complexity of the tissues and the size of the organs. Specifically, the number of mucosal folds and cells in the esophagus and intestine increases, and the gastric glands and pits in the stomach increase. The number of mucous membrane folds, mucosal epithelial cells and gastric glands in the digestive tract increase with the growth of the larvae, indicating that the development of the digestive system of P. teira is consistent with the growth of larvae, morphological development, feeding, metabolism and other functions consistently, its developmental stage is also adapted to the stages of the early development stage of P. teira.

Kurzfassung: A 42-day growth trial was undertaken to estimate the effects of supplemented alanine and glycine on growth performance, feed utilization, and apparent digestibility of nutrients in juvenile grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). Three diets were compared: 1) fishmeal (FM), 2) soybean meal (SBM) and 3) alanine and glycine supplemented (NEAA) where alanine and glycine were added to the soybean diet to achieve the desired alanine and glycine content in FM diet. Results showed that NEAA diet decreased the feed conversion ratio (FCR) by 15.3%, improved average final weight by 13.4%, and increased 14.0% of protein retention compared with the SBM diet (P 〈 0.05). In grass carp fed the SBM diet muscle protein and lipid content were significantly higher than those fed the FM and NEAA diets (P 〈 0.05). Serum AST, ALT, ALP activities of fish fed the FM diet were significantly lower than the SBM diet (P 〈 0.05), and similar to the NEAA diet (P 〉 0.05). Serum urea content from the NEAA diet was significantly lower than FM and SBM diets (P 〈 0.05). In conclusion, while adding alanine and glycine to a plant based diet can improve the growth performance, liver function, and protein utilization of juvenile grass carp, it does not improve performance to the levels of an FM diet.

Kurzfassung: Cucurbiturils (CBs) and cyclodextrins (CDs) are two important classes of macrocyclic molecules, both of which have the capability of forming stable complexes with various molecular or ionic substrates. These capabilities consequently make them attractive as both receptors for molecular recognition and building blocks for the construction of nano‐scaled supramolecular systems. This review mainly deals with representative contributions in comparative studies of selective binding and molecular assembly behaviors of cucurbiturils and cyclodextrins possessing different types of hydrophobic cavities. It also gives a description of the construction of nanometer‐scaled supramolecular architectures through the cooperative assembly employing cucurbiturils and cyclodextrins, as well as their functions. This review will be addressed to students and researchers interested in the supramolecular chemistry of cucurbiturils and cyclodextrins, especially that involving these two classes of macrocyclic receptors in a single system.

Kurzfassung: The development of efficient chemical methods for total synthesis or semisynthesis of integral membrane proteins is an important challenge at the interface between chemistry and biology. This review outlines the recent advances in the synthesis of integral membrane proteins, with particular focus on the methods for difficult peptide synthesis, purification, and enhancement of peptide solubility under the ligation conditions. The applications of these methods to the synthesis of integral membrane proteins with one or multiple transmembrane domains are also described.

Kurzfassung: A series of triazole and pyridine hybrid molecules, with a triazole core and pyridine periphery, were designed and synthesized as an electron‐transport layer (ETL) and a hole/exciton‐block layer for green phosphorescent organic light‐emitting diodes. Compared with the widely‐used electron‐transport material (ETM) of 3‐(biphenyl‐4‐yl)‐5‐(4‐ tert ‐butylphenyl)‐4‐phenyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazole (TAZ) with a triazole core, lower‐lying HOMO and LUMO energy levels were obtained with the introduction of pyridine rings onto the periphery of the molecules, giving improved electron injection and carrier confinement. Significantly reduced driving voltages were achieved in a device structure of ITO/HATCN (5 nm)/TAPC (40 nm)/CBP:8 wt % Ir(PPy) 3 (10 nm)/ETL (40 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (90 nm), giving a maximum power efficiency of 72.2 lm W −1 and an external quantum efficiency of 21.8 %, due to the improved electron injection and transport and thus, more balanced carrier recombination, which are much higher than those of the device based on TAZ.

Kurzfassung: A growth trial was conducted to estimate the optimum levels of dietary phosphorus (P) for juvenile hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus × O. aureus) fed fishmeal-free practical diets. Hybrid tilapia (1.68 ± 0.08 g) were fed diets containing various levels (0.0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8% and 1.0%) of additional inorganic phosphorus for 10 weeks using two different sources of phosphorus:calcium dihydrogen phosphate (MCP), and sodium dihydrogen phosphate (MSP). Hybrid tilapia fed the P-supplemented diets showed significantly higher weight gain (WG) and mineral deposition than those fed the unsupplemented diet. Based on weight gain and vertebral phosphorus content, the available phosphorus requirements of hybrid tilapia were estimated as 1% and 1.31% (0.6% and 0.9% based on additional phosphorus content) respectively, when MSP was used as a phosphorus source. When MCP was the phosphorus source, the requirement estimated for weight gain was 0.95% (0.61% based on additional phosphorus content). In addition, MCP contributed to increased growth and a higher mineral deposition rate than did MSP, in freshwater-reared hybrid tilapia.

Kurzfassung: This study examined the effects of molting stage on the growth of primary-cultured cells from the shrimps Macrobrachium nipponense and Penaeus vannamei. Muscle cells in different molting stages were cultured in L-15 medium, supplemented with 1g/l glucose,1g/l MgCl2,1 g/l CaCl2,100 IU/ml penicillin, and 100 μg/ml streptomycin. Results showed that cells cultured in the early postmolt stage grew best. They had an unfolding cell shape, a compact monolayer, a high rate of coverage, and the highest RNA:DNA ratio. Differences among early postmolt, premolt, and intermolt cells were significant (p 〈 0.05).
