Abstract: This article retrospectively analyzes the current situation of the development of China's publishing industry and illustrates the scale, structure, new publication patterns, and characteristics of this industry. The results reveal that the continuous development of China's publishing industry is manifested in the solid growth of traditional publishing and the rapid growth of non-paper-based publications. Digital and network technologies have become the critical foundations of the publishing industry, facilitating the expansion of the traditional publishing industry and the renewal of traditional productivity. Moreover, the dominance of books giving way to a more diversified publishing pattern. An industry chain primarily based on provinces is under construction, and the leading publishers are beginning to orient toward industrial development. The basic formation of a dual-capital system, funded both federally and privately, has accelerated the process of publishing socialization. In contrast to the previous system under the planned economy, this new system is demarcated into missions for information dissemination and the pursuit of profit, a fundamental change known as the “dichotomy pattern” that powerfully promotes the prosperity and advancement of China's publishing industry.

Abstract: Postmortem decay causes fingertip decomposition, desiccation, shriveling, and rigidity, reducing the possibility of obtaining sufficiently clear fingerprints for identification. In this study, five rehydration solutions (ammonium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, urea, and warm water) followed by three fingerprint recording methods (photograph, inking roll, and dusting tape) were investigated to process mummified fingertips from an unidentified cadaver. The results show that sodium carbonate treatment is the most effective for minutiae restoration, followed by ammonium hydroxide treatment. This study also demonstrates that even those fingertips that previously failed in urea solution, 1% potassium hydroxide solution, and warm water treatment could be further improved with sodium carbonate solution to obtain qualified minutiae for fingerprint matching. The optimal procedure is rehydrating the desiccated fingertips with sodium carbonate solution for 24 h followed by dusting the finger and transferring the print to adhesive tape.

Abstract: With the rapid development of synthetic drugs, novel piperazine derivatives, as an increasingly important class of new psychoactive substances (NPS), have attracted global attention owing to their increasing demand in the illicit drug market. In this study, ten piperazine derivatives were analyzed in urine samples after pre‐treatment with ultrasound‐assisted low‐density solvent dispersive liquid‐liquid microextraction (UA‐LDS‐DLLME) combined with gas chromatography‐tandem mass spectrometry (GC‐MS/MS). This simple approach involved the use of urine samples (1 mL) adjusted to pH 12, which was added to 100 µL of n‐hexane and subjected to ultrasonication for 3 min to completely disperse the sample in the n‐hexane solution. The resulting turbid suspension was centrifuged at 10,000 rpm for 3 min, and the supernatant was extracted and analyzed using GC‐MS/MS. Under the optimized conditions presented in this study, the linear relationship between the analytes was good within 10–1500 ng/mL, and the correlation coefficient ( r ) was between .9914 and .9983. The limit of detection (LOD) was 0.3–2 ng/mL (S/N = 3), and the lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) was 10 ng/mL (S/N = 10) with the recovery of the analytes of interest from the spiked samples being 76.3%–93.3%. This method has been used to analyze real‐world samples; our study shows that the UA‐LDS‐DLLME approach can be used for rapid analysis while consuming minimal solvent for the simultaneous determination of a range of analytes. This method has the potential for use in clinical analyses and forensic toxicology.

Abstract: This study examines the effects of firm heterogeneity on foreign‐owned enterprises’ ( FOE s) choices regarding serving the local market, undertaking assembly exports or undertaking ordinary exports. It also investigates the effects of serving these markets on productivity. Using a detailed firm–transaction level matched data set of FOE s in China covering 2000–07, the first‐stage estimation of propensity score matching ( PSM ) method reveals that less productive FOE s tend to undertake assembly exports, and this effect is particularly relevant to those located in inland regions. By contrast, more productive FOE s are likely to serve domestic markets or undertake ordinary exports. Other firm characteristics also exhibit diverse influences on market choices. Export‐oriented FOE s, particularly those undertaking assembly exports, experience lower productivity growth than that of local market‐oriented FOE s. This suggests that the effects of local market competition do result in substantial enhancement of the productivity of FOE s in China. This pattern is mainly exhibited by FOE s in inland regions, whereas FOE s undertaking ordinary exports in coastal regions might have somewhat higher total factor productivity ( TFP ) growth than their local market‐oriented counterparts. Among export‐oriented FOE s, exporting more product value—whether assembly or ordinary exports—has a positive influence on productivity.

Abstract: There has been a significant amount of research on correlates of bullying victimization, but most prior studies are descriptive and do not distinguish between different types of bullying. The current study used a case-control study design to explore factors related to different types of bullying victimization, including physical, relational, verbal, sexual, property, and poly-bullying victimization. This study was conducted in a southern city in China, including 3054 cases who self-reported being victims of school bullying and 3054 controls who reported not being involved in any school bullying in the past 12 months. Each victim case was matched with a control on gender, school, and grade level. Univariate logistic analyses and multivariate conditional logistic regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with being a victim of school bullying. Results suggest physical bullying victimization was only associated with a family-level characteristic (parenting style) while the other four types of bullying victimization (relational, verbal, sexual, and property bullying) and poly-bullying victimization were associated with multiple social domain variables at individual, family, and school levels. Findings from this study provide evidence of factors for different types of bullying victimization and have implications for potential measures to prevent bullying. Measures from multiple social domains, including individual, family and school (e.g., developing healthy behaviors, improving social skills, positive parent-child interactions, building trust between teachers and peers, and forming strong friendships), should be considered in order to effectively prevent adolescent victimization from bullying.

Abstract: 〈 p 〉 Expanding the degree of financial inclusion is one of the important ways to deepen the effect of the Internet. Internet finance in China greatly reduces the information asymmetry and decreases the transaction costs between financial participants, which to some extent promotes the reform of financial systems in China. Besides the elite and center institutional arrangements, some so-called grassroots or civilian financial structures appear. Thus the finance has begun to show a trend of financial disintermediate. This paper selected some variables to build a measure system, based on the 2015 Household Financial Survey. It firstly analyzed the correlation of variables and tested the variance factors through the analysis of use frequency of mobile payment and its transaction amount, meanwhile through the analysis of the impact of family investment structure on the Internet investment transactions. Then it used principal component analysis method to analyze multiple variables in reduced dimensionality. After that it tested ADF unit root and Granger causality of screened indexes, and established a stepwise multivariate linear regression model. Finally, this paper illustrated that the expansion of mobile payment transaction had an impact on the increase in the Internet financial investment transactions based on the empirical analysis and theoretical deduction, and then the paper gave some relevant recommendations. 〈 /p 〉
