Abstract: A total of 1,207 papers related to competitive basketball research from 1986 to 2019 were retrieved from the Web of Science database. Taking the retrieved papers as research objects, the trend chart, keyword map, and citation map of international competitive basketball research were drawn using the visual software CiteSpaceIII, and the methods of literature review, knowledge map analysis, co-occurrence analysis, citation analysis, and word frequency analysis were used. The research status and hot spots of international competitive basketball in recent 30 years are analyzed, which clarify the research context of foreign competitive basketball, reveal the research trend of international competitive basketball, and provide theoretical reference for future competitive basketball research. The research shows that (a) competitive basketball research lacks influential scientific research institutions and leading figures, and the existing research institutions are in their own way with little cooperation. (b) The hot spots of competitive basketball research are “Competitive performance,” “Gender difference,” “Sports injury,” and so on. Co-occurrence network structure is relatively loose and the density is not high. (c) “Sports injury” has always been the hot spot and frontier of competitive basketball research, from the early rehabilitation basic research aimed at ensuring competitive participation to the fine-grained preventive research centered on “preventing diseases,” and then to the interdisciplinary comprehensive research of electronic science, neuroscience, and brain science. In this process, big data research began to emerge, reflecting the research characteristics of the era of mathematics and intelligence, and also showing the future research trend and development direction of competitive basketball.

Abstract: Why are fog, dew, and frost said to “fall” in some languages when they don’t in the physical world? We explore this seeming infelicity to study the nature of linguistic conceptualization. We focus on variations and changes of the morphosemantic behaviors of weather words in Mandarin and other Sinitic languages with an interdisciplinary approach to establish links between linguistic expressions and scientific facts. We propose that this use of directionality is the result of conventionalization of Chinese people’s inference from shared daily experience, and is well motivated in terms of a linguistic ontology that reflects a scientific account of natural phenomena. We further demonstrate that the semantically relevant orthography shared by Chinese speakers can be directly mapped to Hantology, a formal linguistic ontology based on Suggested Upper Merged Ontology (SUMO). In this mapping, the radical 雨 yǔ “rain,” derived from the ideograph of “rain” to represent atmospheric water, provides crucial clues to the use of directional verbs and the parts of speech of weather words. Our findings also lend support to language-based reconstruction of traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) and lay foundation for TEK research in the Sinosphere.

Abstract: Disgust imageries often shun readers away from attending to important environmental messages. Based on the Limited Capacity Model and Construal Level Theory, an eye-tracking experiment was conducted to test the influence of psychological distance and disgust images on attention to environmental messages. Results indicated that psychological distance moderated disgust images’ influence on attention to environmental communication messages. Disgust images increased attention to environmental messages only under the far distance condition. Additionally, disgust images increased attention to risk information but not efficacy information under the far distance condition, whereas non-disgust images increased attention to efficacy information under the close distance condition. All effects reported above were more salient among participants holding a more pro-environment worldview. Theoretical advances include the use of far psychological distance to reduce defensive reactions and the differential impact of disgust images on risk and efficacy information at the close or far psychological distance. Applied implications highlight the potentials of disgusting/non-disgusting images in emphasizing risk or efficacy information and reducing message avoidance.

Abstract: According to the reality of China, we divide Internet finance into four parts as Internet payment services, Internet financing services, Internet financial management services, and online banking business of traditional commercial banks, to discuss the impact of Internet finance on the profit efficiency of commercial banks. Our theoretical analysis shows that the external impact of Internet finance will reduce the profit of commercial banks, but Internet financing and Internet financial management have less influence, and the financial Internet business can improve the profit efficiency of commercial banks to some extent. An empirical test of Chinese data provides support for these predictions, it suggests that the estimated impact is significant and robust. Furthermore, differences in ownerships and profit efficiency of commercial banks will be at work.

Abstract: Caregivers for dialysis patients have endured tremendous burden and responsibilities in their daily lives from caregiving. Interventions that cater to them are essential, considering that they play an essential role in the illness management of patients. The purpose of this review is to examine the interventions implemented among the caregivers caring for patients diagnosed CKD and its effectiveness in alleviating the caregiver burden. PRISMA-ScR checklist was utilized as the reporting standard. Past studies were searched in four major citation databases (MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Web of Science) in the timeframe of February 2022. Nine studies were identified, comprised of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and quasi-experimental studies. The types of intervention programs reviewed were educational programs, supportive programs, family-centered programs, and psychological interventions. The evidences have suggested that these programs are effective in reducing caregiver burden among the caregivers of CKD patients.
