Kurzfassung: Providing long-term career coaching or counseling has become an increasingly important part of university life as the coronavirus pandemic rapidly sweeps across the world. Career coaching has become one of the most important drivers of revenue and enrollment growth in nongovernmental schools. However, little research has been carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of these long-term career coaching or counseling services. Accordingly, this study aims to use a mixed method approach to track and measure students’ satisfaction from private higher vocational colleges to identify opportunities for improving employment services. Students were asked how satisfied they were with employment services provided by this private vocational school. The results obtained lead us to suggest that private higher vocational colleges could strengthen the employability of graduates by providing a wide variety of enrichment activities and establishing a regular monitoring mechanism to evaluate perceptions of their engagement and educational experiences in the current coronavirus crisis.

Kurzfassung: China has witnessed a dramatic increase in breast cancer incidence over the past few decades. Clear evidence has proven the effectiveness of mammography screening in reducing the number of breast cancer–related deaths. The study aims to extend the theory of planned behavior (TPB) with two additional components, personality traits and attention to media, to investigate the factors related to young Chinese women’s intention for mammography screening. A cross-sectional web survey was conducted among female students ( n = 1,002) in a large public university in southwest China. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that the three original TPB variables (attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control) have the strongest relationship with women’s intention to engage in mammography screening. Moreover, extraversion and attention to new media are positively associated with intention for mammography screening. The study contributes to existing health communication literature by showing how the original TPB model cooperated with psychological and communication factors that are related to women’s intention for mammography screening. The findings can be used to assist government and health professionals in developing a more effective strategies to promote mammography screening in the context of China.

Kurzfassung: As e-commerce continues to develop, many colleges and universities have reformed their talent training accordingly. In particular, Shenzhen Tourism College of Jinan University has conducted continuous and in-depth exploration of the training mode established for e-commerce professionals. By interviewing previous graduates and tracing their career trajectories, this paper explored the adaptability of the existing talent training model to social demand, and summarized the talent training approaches that meet market demand. With Shenzhen Qianhai Patozon Network Technology Co., Ltd. as a study case, e-commerce graduates and the top management were interviewed to obtain insights into the professional knowledge and skill learning experience of senior executives at college. In addition, the influence of undergraduate talent training on the formation of innovation and entrepreneurship consciousness was discussed. Finally, corresponding measures and suggestions were proposed for enhancing the talent training plan and reforming the e-commerce major.
