Summary
Measurements of the32P/7Be ratios conducted on Zugspitze Mountain in Germany can be used to establish residence times of airmasses in the lower stratosphere. There appears to be a seasonal trend to such residence times, yielding a median value of ≧36 days during spring and ≧17 days during fall.
