The contents of these vacuoles/deposits are not unambiguously identifiable with immunostaining for TSH or ACTH. Immunostaining of the frontal lobe of the pituitary, however, shows more TSH positive cells at the top dose (C, 1700 mg/kg bw) compared to controls (B).
