    Description / Table of Contents: Sprache, Technik und Medien stellen das philosophische Denken heute überall in Frage. Dessen Traum der Vernunft scheint ausgeträumt. Vor allem die Katastrophen des 20. Jahrhunderts haben jede Idee einer Versöhnung obsolet gemacht. Der vorliegende Band fragt deshalb, was es heißt, Abschied von der Philosophie zu nehmen. Doch zeigt er an Denkfiguren von Platon bis Derrida, dass die Philosophie den Abschied von sich selbst immer auch schon gedacht hat. Denn die Philosophie kreist um eine Differenz, die sich begrifflich nicht einholen lässt. Diese Differenz insistiert als Frage einer »Ethik« in jedem Begriff, der sich denken lässt. Auf ihr lässt sich kein System begründen - weder philosophisch noch politisch oder technisch. Aber kein System entgeht ihr. Und dies macht den Abschied ebenso definitiv wie unabschließbar. Hans-Joachim Lenger, geb. 1952, lehrt Philosophische Ästhetik an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. Gemeinsam mit Jörg Sasse und Georg Christoph Tholen gibt er im Internet das eJournal »Zäsuren-Césures-Incisions« heraus.
