Abstract:
In the mid-1970s, Alice Ricciardi-von Platen, Josef Shaked and Michael Hayne had some fateful encounters which later led to the founding of the International Association for Group Analysis (IAG). Their first experiences in the circle of S. H. Foulkes and Lionel Kreeger inspired them to develop their own curriculum for group analytic training – in Altaussee, which is historically rich – that is more strongly oriented towards psychoanalysis. This takes place in three training phases, characterised by an interdisciplinary openness: Self-experience, group observation and co-conducting, paired with theory and intense supervision.
