Abstract: 1,3,5-Triaryl-2-pyrazoline derivatives with a pyridine ring in position 1 and 2-benzimidazolyl or 2-benzothiazolyl bicycles in position 3 were synthesized. Spectral properties in solvents of similar polarity, i.e. aprotic acetonitrile and in protic methanol, were studied, complexation with cadmium and mercury ions in acetonitrile was elucidated as well. Quantum-chemical modeling with application of the elements of Bader's atoms-in-molecules (AIM) theory of the title molecules conformational structure and 1:1 stoichiometry complexes formed with polyvalent metals of various nature (Mg, Zn, Cd, Pb, Hg, Ba) was conducted. The principal possibility of “nitrogen-sulfur” switching of the metal ions binding sites for the benzothiazole derivative was revealed, and makes possible to classify this compound as “smart ligand”.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the actual problem of improving the management of social agencies since the stability, efficiency and attractiveness of any organization depends on the personnel and the management system. The purpose of the article was to outline and characterize the directions for improvement of the components of social agency management, taking into account the analysis of problem areas of the Kharkiv city center of social agencies "Dovira". By applying methods of generalization and grouping, as well as document analysis (reports after the practice of 4th-year students studying under the "Social Work" educational program) and discussions with specialists and stakeholders, two groups of problems related to management were identified: 1) problems of technical and material support and 2) problems of personnel work. Based on them, the authors of the article proposed to analyze three blocks: 1) problems of material and technical content (working conditions); 2) personnel management problems; 3) problems of protection and development of personal qualities of specialists. Their prerequisites were determined and measures to improve the social agency management system were proposed. A conclusion was made about the need to develop a management model with coordination of the following levels: the first – monitoring of the personal condition, needs and capabilities of social work specialists. Building on this basis programs of individual and group assistance and development. The second is management of the organization – development and implementation of personnel policy, taking into account the requirements and proposals of the first level. The third level is "external management" – the development of cooperation with domestic and foreign partners, lobbying of interests and the initiation of necessary and justified changes (on the basis of conclusions from the previous levels) in normative documents regulating the work of social work specialists and the activities of the organization as a whole.

Abstract: This paper is aimed at presenting a comprehensive multi-level analysis of the blurb as a component of an Anglo-American publication and created after a classical detective novel. Blurbs are conventionally placed on book covers (or on the Internet) describing the book content and strategically presenting the book to its potential audience. The multi-level model for comprehensive blurb analysis is pioneered, combining lexical, morphological, syntactic, graphic-visual and pragmatic levels of analysis. This study pursues to prove that blurbs are marked by their special communicative purpose and are inherently multi-functional (advertising, persuasive, influential) created with a view to persuade prospective audience to purchase the book. With respect to these blurbs are strategically equipped with various discursive and linguistic markers outlined in each of the levels of the model. At the structural level the structural divisions of the blurb invariant are investigated: the respective introduction, the central part and the final part. At the lexical level the appropriate lexical components of the introduction, central part and final part are analyzed. A set of corresponding standard lexical repertoires for each of these parts is established. At the morphological level the grammatical structures of each part are analyzed and described. At the syntactic level, the traditional syntax of each of the relevant parts is analysed. The graphical-visual level identifies the graphical and visual means that are most efficiently used by blurb creators to appeal to the audience. At the pragmatic level the pragmatic functions of the blurb are identified, which exercise the appropriate pragmatic impact on the reader. The study indicates that the process of making a blurb requires adherence to certain blurb-making laws and conventions.

Abstract: The mobile network (also called cellular network) is an important part of the general communication network of society, which provides interaction both between individuals and entire human communities. Mobile phones do our live easier and more convenient but the general public has only the most general ideas about the functioning of mobile communication networks. There are three most important things for mobile phone users in today's world: coverage, speed and affordability. In our article we will focus on the first component - mobile network coverage. The aim of the study is to determine the spatial features of the Kyivstar mobile network in Western Ukraine, and the main task is to analyze, based on open data, the coverage of the Kyivstar mobile network in the territorial units of Western Ukraine. The source base of the research is the data of the Kyivstar mobile communications operator. The analysis of mobile communication networks in our study was carried out on the following indicators: the area of the territory that covered by the network (mobile network area); the share of the territory that covered by the network (network coverage share). Kyivstar is the largest mobile operator in Western Ukraine both by the number of subscribers and by the area of 4G network. The Kyivstar 3G network covers only areas with a high population concentration. The Kyivstar 4G network coverage is spread over 69.9% of Western Ukraine and is absent only in the Ukrainian Carpathians and in the forest areas in the north-west of the study area. The highest rates of Kyivstar 4G network distribution are typical for the biggest cities. The northern part of Western Ukraine has the highest Kyivstar mobile coverage, and the Ukrainian Carpathians the lowest.

Abstract: Disparities of socioeconomic indices of Ukraine's regions are a scientific problem and a practical task that should be solved on a strategic horizon. Current regulation of regional development does not take into account the dynamic processes of disparity indicators in the long-term period, which leads to an incorrect definition of disparities regulation goals. The purpose of this article can be stated as the working out of a system for evaluating the disparities indicators, and disparities' dynamic shows the necessity to use a convergent-divergent approach. Convergent-divergent processes were analyzed for the following groups of indicators (demographic, productive, natural and ecological, foreign economic, and structural disparities) in 2007–2021 and for three classes of regions: with balanced, restrained, and unrestrained disparities. The analytical model for convergent- divergent processes of territorial development disparities is based on econometric models of assessing spatial β-convergence. It involves analysis of absolute and conditional convergence of regional development; assessment of convergence accounting indicators of regional disparities; verification of the hypothesis about the strengthening of disparities. In particular, obtained results of absolute convergence indicate that regions with unrestrained disparities of some spheres do not tend to grow faster than classes of regions with balanced disparities of the same spheres since even a lower level of disparities does not guarantee a higher rate of disparities reduction. Therefore, the convergence of disparities is a very long process. Results indicate the strengthening of divergent trends in the uneven development of regions and can be used to determine vulnerable areas with disparities in regions, and besides, this model is considered to be a decision-making supportive tool for the reduction of interregional disparities.

Abstract: The main objective of the article is to find out the reasons for rejection of people with disabilities in the society, that causes the communicative barriers in communication with them, and the role of the media in this process. It is established that there are both social and psychological barriers in communication with the people with disabilities. The social barriers include the different worldviews as there are many barriers (physical, moral ones) in the lives of people with disabilities. The psychological barriers include isolation, shyness, hiddenness, incommunicability of people with disabilities, caused by the attitude towards them in the society. These barriers also have to do with certain fear towards the people with disabilities from those ones who do not have such problems. A questionnaire was conducted to understand the points of contact between the society, the people with disabilities and the media, to hear the opinions of both the people with disabilities (235 persons) and those ones without disabilities (309 persons) and to find the answers to why there is no correlation, mutual understanding between the society, the people with disabilities and the media. Using a number of keywords on each of the leading Ukrainian media sites, the publications about people with disabilities during the pandemic were monitored. Such studies made it possible to determine how much the media were interested in covering such information. The comparative method was used to find the similarities and the differences in the views of people with and without disabilities regarding the role of the media in their lives and the factors that impede d communication in the society. The descriptive method made it possible to record the information gained from the survey and other sources. It was found out that the people with disabilities were either cursorily covered in the media during the pandemic or were not mentioned at all even though it was one of the most vulnerable groups of people in terms of health. There was almost no information about the course of disease within this category of population: the statistical data on disabled people with coronavirus, in particular about the consequences and the risks for their health were not separated into a separate group. It was ascertained that the difference between the people with and without disabilities was in their views on ignoring the information about the people with disabilities. Thus the people with disabilities believe that there is not enough information and the society does not pay enough attention to it, the people without disabilities do not follow such information and think that there is enough information in the media. The points of contact: the society feels fear to the people with disabilities, does not understand how to treat them, because the media ignores information about these people, resulting in formation of an information vacuum, which is filled with stereotypes and conjectures. The people with disabilities are often marked by closeness and incommunicability due to the fact that they become the objects of ridicule and unfair treatment, which affects their self-esteem and interferes with communication with the society.
