    Abstract: The industrial revolution has brought a leap in productivity; however, some severe ecological environment and resource problems are coming out with the development of industrialization. To achieve sustainable development of social economy, green technology innovation emerges in response to the proper time and conditions. In this context, the correct approach to measure the efficiency of green technology innovation in China’s industrial enterprises is an important research topic. Based on existing studies, this paper divides innovation activities into two stages based on the innovation value chain and constructs a two-stage evaluation index system including all kinds of undesirable outputs transferred from negative externalities of the ecological environment. To evaluate green technology innovation efficiency, SBM and EBM network DEA models are applied to conduct empirical analysis from the perspective of time and space. This paper also calculates the efficiency values based on the SBM model and the EBM model, respectively, and compares the differences between them. The results show that the efficiency value of the achievement transformation stage is significantly higher than that of technology development stage; there are noticeable gaps in the efficiency of green technology innovation between different regions of China. Besides, the eastern region has a better performance in green technology innovation than the western region and Qinghai has the best green technology innovation performance. Combining the empirical results, the corresponding policy recommendations are put forward.

    Abstract: Background . The da Vinci robotic system was considered an effectively alternative treatment option for early gastric cancer patients in recent years. The aim of our study was to evaluate the safety and feasibility of robot-assisted gastrectomy in our center. Methods . This study included 33 patients who underwent robot-assisted gastrectomy (RAG) and 88 patients who underwent laparoscopic-assisted gastrectomy (LAG) between January 2016 and April 2018. Clinicopathological characteristics, surgical parameters, postoperative recovery, and the learning curves of RAG were evaluated. Results . Baseline characteristics between two groups were well balanced. The operation time of RAG was longer than that of LAG ( 333.1 ± 61.4   min vs. 290.6 ± 39.0   min , p = 0.001 ), and the estimated blood loss was 62.4 ± 41.2   ml in the RAG group and 77.7 ± 32.3   ml in the LAG group ( p = 0.005 ), respectively. The mean number of examined lymph nodes in RAG was less than that in LAG ( 30.3 ± 10.2 vs. 37.4 ± 13.7 , p = 0.008 ). However, RAG had an advantage in the dissection of No. 9 lymph nodes ( 3.4 ± 2.1 vs. 2.5 ± 1.6 , p = 0.039 ). The incidence of postoperative complications was similar in both groups ( p = 0.735 ). There were no significant differences in terms of postoperative recovery between the two groups. The learning curve of RAG showed that the CUSUM value decreased from the 8th case, which suggested a rapid learning curve among experienced surgeons on LAG operations. Conclusions . RAG was safe and feasible for gastric cancer patients, with superiority in the dissection of No. 9 lymph nodes.

    Abstract: Background . The relationship between fasting blood glucose (FBG) and microvascular obstruction (MVO) after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains unclear in nondiabetic patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). This study aimed to determine the predictive value of FBG in MVO in nondiabetic STEMI patients. Methods . A total of 108 nondiabetic STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI were enrolled in this study. The patients were classified into either the MVO group or non-MVO group based on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR). Results . FBG in the MVO group was higher than in the non-MVO group. Univariate analysis showed that FBG, peak high-sensitive troponin T (TnT), pre-PCI thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (pre-PCI TIMI) flow, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), infarction size, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDd), left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV), and global longitudinal strain (GLS) were likely predictive factors of MVO. After adjustment for other parameters, FBG, peak TnT, LVEF, and LVEDV remained independent predictors for MVO. Conclusion . FBG was independently associated with MVO in nondiabetic STEMI patients.

    Abstract: Background. GA-binding protein A (GABPA), a transcription factor, is broadly involved in physiological and pathological processes. Several studies have investigated the relationship between GABPA expression level and outcomes of various malignancies. However, the function and clinicopathological significance of GABPA in endometrial carcinoma (EC) remain obscure. Methods. The GABPA mRNA expression in EC tissues and adjacent nonneoplastic tissues in the TCGA database was involved in our study. The protein expression of GABPA in 107 EC tissues and 15 normal endometrial tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results. The GABPA expression was significantly downregulated in EC tissues compared with its expression in normal tissues ( P 〈 0.001 ). The expression of GABPA was markedly correlated with type II EC ( P 〈 0.01 ) and grade 3 EC ( P 〈 0.05 ). A tendency has been observed that patients with low GABPA levels had relatively poorer overall survival (OS) ( P = 0.036 ) and disease-free survival (DFS) ( P = 0.016 ) than patients with high GABPA levels. The multivariate Cox proportional hazard model showed that lower expression of GABPA was an independent poor prognostic factor for OS ( P = 0.043 ) and DFS ( P = 0.045 ). Similar correlation between low expression levels of GABPA and unfavorable prognosis has also been found in type II or grade 3 EC. IHC analysis showed EC tissues had low expression of GABPA, which indicated relatively poor prognosis. Moreover, we identified that the GABPA mRNA expression was negatively correlated with its methylation level ( R = − 0.2512 , P 〈 0.001 ) which is one of the mechanisms for the silencing of GABPA gene. Conclusion. GABPA may act as an independent predictor of clinical prognosis and serve as a potential target gene for EC therapy.

    Abstract: Background. The most numerous cells in the tumor microenvironment, cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) play a crucial role in cancer development. Our objective was to develop a cancer-associated fibroblast breast cancer predictive model. Methods. We acquire breast cancer (BC) scRNA-seq data from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), and “Seurat” was used for data processing, including quality control, filtering, principal component analysis, and t-SNE. Afterward, “singleR” software was used to annotate cells. Seurat’s “FindAllMarkers” program is used to locate particular CAF markers. clusterProfiler was used to analyze Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was utilized to provide univariate Cox regression, least absolute shrinkage operator (LASSO) analysis using bulk RNA-seq data. For model development, multivariate Cox regression studies are used. Utilizing pRRophetic and Tumor Immune Dysfunction and Exclusion (TIDE) algorithms, chemosensitivity and immunotherapy response were predicted. The “rms” software was used to facilitate and simplify modeling. Results. Integrating the scRNA-seq (GSE176078) dataset yielded 28 cell clusters. In addition, well-known cell types helped identify 12 cell types. We found 193 marker genes that are elevated in CAFs. In addition, a five-gene predictive model associated to CAF was created in the training set. In the training set, the validation set, and the external validation set, greater risk scores were associated with a worse prognosis. And individuals with a higher risk score were more susceptible to immunotherapy and conventional chemotherapy medicines. Conclusion. In conclusion, we establish a strong prognostic model comprised of 5 genes related with CAF that might serve as a potent prognostic indicator and aid clinicians in making more rational medication choices.

    Abstract: Objective . To observe the effect of preventive acupuncture and moxibustion on blood lipid of menopause rats. Methods . Seventy 10-month-old SD rats with estrous cycle disorders were divided into three control groups and four treatment groups ( n = 10 /group) and another ten 3.5-month-old female SD rats were chosen as young control group. Preventive acupuncture and moxibustion were applied at Guanyuan (CV 4). Body weight growth rate has been recorded. Plasma total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL), and high density lipoprotein (HDL) levels and uterus E 2 level were measured. Results . Compared to young control group, plasma TC and LDL increased and uterus E 2 reduced significantly in 12-month-old control group. Compared to 12-month-old control group, plasma TC and LDL level and body weight growth rate decreased while HDL level increased remarkably in preventive acupuncture 12-month-old group. Compared to 14-month-old control group, plasma TC level and body weight growth rate decreased remarkably in preventive moxibustion 14-month-old group. Conclusions . Preventive acupuncture and moxibustion can significantly decrease the plasma TG and LDL, increase the plasma HDL, and prevent fat accumulation. Our finding suggests that preventive acupuncture and moxibustion have beneficial effects on blood lipid. Different treatment effects were found between preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion.

    Abstract: Objectives. Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) usually has a poor prognosis. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) interleukin (IL)-10 has shown diagnostic, prognostic, and monitoring value in our previous studies. Cell-free circulating tumor DNA can be detected in the CSF of refractory/relapse cases and has also shown monitoring value. However, information about its monitoring value in newly diagnosed PCNSL patients and comparisons of CSF IL-10 and CSF cell-free DNA (cfDNA) are scarce. Methods. We performed next-generation sequencing on paraffin-embedded tissue and the serial CSF cfDNA of 10 newly diagnosed PCNSL patients and on the baseline CSF cfDNA of 11 other central nervous system lymphoma patients. We also monitored the CSF IL-10 levels of the 10 newly diagnosed PCNSL patients. Results. In seven newly diagnosed PCNSL patients with sufficient baseline CSF cfDNA, six had ≥1 mutated genes in their CSF cfDNA. The most common were MYD88(4/7), PIM1(3/7), MLL2(3/7), and ETV6(2/7). We also identified multiple somatic mutations, most commonly in PIM1. MYD88L265P can be detected in both tumor tissue and CSF cfDNA. The genomic profiles of CFS cfDNA were similar in PCNSL and PIOL patients. Newly diagnosed PCNSL patients with persistently positive cfDNA and negative IL-10 progressed quickly, while those with negative cfDNA and negative IL-10 were in maintenance therapy for more than 18 months. Two patients without cfDNA had increased CSF IL-10 concentrations before disease relapse. These results indicate that negative CSF cfDNA predicts better results, and persistently positive CSF cfDNA predicts disease progression earlier than conventional magnetic resonance imaging. Conclusion. In conclusion, CSF cfDNA is a potential predictor of relapse and progression, which complements the monitoring value of CSF IL-10 in newly diagnosed PCNSL patients.

    Abstract: Ischaemic stroke is a severe disease worldwide. Restoration of blood flow after ischaemic stroke leads to cerebral ischaemia–reperfusion injury (CIRI). Various operations, such as cardiac surgery with deep hypothermic circulatory arrest, predictably cause cerebral ischaemia. Diabetes is related to the occurrence of perioperative stroke and exacerbates neurological impairment after stroke. Therefore, the choice of anaesthetic drugs has certain clinical significance for patients with diabetes. Isoflurane (ISO) exerts neuroprotective and anti-neuroinflammatory effects in patients without diabetes. However, the role of ISO in cerebral ischaemia in the context of diabetes is still unknown. Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and NOD-like receptor pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome activation play important roles in microglia-mediated neuroinflammatory injury. In this study, we treated a diabetic middle cerebral artery occlusion mouse model with ISO. We found that diabetes exacerbated cerebral ischaemia damage and that ISO exerted neuroprotective effects in diabetic mice. Then, we found that ISO decreased TLR4-NLRP3 inflammasome activation in microglia and the excessive autophagy induced by CIRI in diabetic mice. The TLR4-specific agonist CRX-527 reversed the neuroprotective effects of ISO. In summary, our study indicated that ISO exerts neuroprotective effects against the neuroinflammation and autophagy observed during diabetic stroke via the TLR4-NLRP3 signalling pathway.

    Abstract: The tumor and tissue microbiota of human beings have recently been investigated. Gut permeability is known as a possible resource for the positive detection of tissue bacteria. Herein, we report that microbiota were detected in high abundance in the hepatocytes of healthy rats and that they were shared with the gut microbiota to an extent. We assessed male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats for the 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) gene. After the rats were sacrificed by blood drainage from the portal vein, we extracted total deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from their ileal and colonic contents and liver tissues. The V3–V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequenced using an Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform. Sequences were assigned taxonomically by the SILVA database. We also detected bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and lipoteichoic acid (LTA) in situ using immunofluorescence (IF) and western blotting and the 16S rRNA gene using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH). In the livers of six rats, we detected 54,867.50 ± 6450.03 effective tags of the 16S rRNA gene and clustered them into 1003 kinds of operational taxonomic units (OTUs; 805.67 ± 70.14 , 729–893). Rats showed conservation of bacterial richness, abundance, and evenness. LPS and the 16S rRNA gene were detected in the nuclei of hepatocytes. The main function composition of the genomes of annotated bacteria was correlated with metabolism ( 79.92 ± 0.24 % ). Gram negativity was about 1.6 times higher than gram positivity. The liver microbiome was shared with both the small and large intestines but showed significantly higher richness and evenness than the gut microbiome, and the β-diversity results showed that the liver microbiome exhibited significantly higher similarity than the small and large intestines ( P 〈 0.05 ). Our results suggest that the bacteria in the liver microbiome are hidden intracellular inhabitants in healthy rat livers.

    Abstract: This study evaluated the potential effect of hydration intensity on the role of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) on contrast-induced nephropathy in patients with renal insufficiency. Methods: All eligible patients were included and stratified according to hydration intensity defined as saline hydration volume to body weight tertiles: 〈 10.21 mL/kg, 10.21 to 〈 17.86 mL/kg, and ⩾17.86 mL/kg. Results: In total, 84 (6.7%) of 1254 patients developed contrast-induced nephropathy: 6.2% in the ACEI/ARB group versus 10.8% in the non-ACEI/ARB group ( P=0.029), with an adjusted odds ratio (OR) of 0.89 (95% confidence interval (CI) 0.46–1.73, P=0.735). The incidence of contrast-induced nephropathy was lower in the ACEI/ARB group than in the non-ACEI/ARB group in the second tertile ( P=0.031), while not significantly different in the first ( P=0.701) and third ( P=0.254) tertiles. ACEIs/ARBs were independently associated with a lower contrast-induced nephropathy risk (OR 0.26, 95% CI 0.09–0.74, P=0.012) and long-term all-cause death (hazard ratio 0.461, 95% CI 0.282–0.755, P=0.002) only in the second hydration volume to body weight tertile. Conclusion: The effects of ACEIs/ARBs on contrast-induced nephropathy risk vary according to saline hydration intensity in chronic kidney disease patients, and may further reduce contrast-induced nephropathy risk in patients administered moderate saline hydration.
