The books includes the general results of investigation within the framework of the multidisciplinary program "The World ocean: bottom geology, geodynamics, marine biology and ecology". There are data on study of the long-term variation in circulation of the North Atlantic, integrated researches of the mid-oceanic ridges, as well as structure of the continental slope and its resources. The essential approaches of the geochemical evolution of the hydrogen-sulphidous basins are under consideration. Analysis of the data on the high-performance seismic and geologic studies of the sedimentary cover of the Russian seas from the viewpoint of their resources is made.
