Abstract: We first give a solution to a key problem concerning the completeness of the space of weighted pseudo almost-periodic functions and then establish a new composition theorem with respect to these functions. Some important remarks with concrete examples are also presented. Moreover, we prove an existence theorem for the weighted pseudo almost-periodic mild solution to the semilinear evolution equation: x ′ ( t ) = A x ( t ) + f ( t , x ( t ) ) , t ∈ ℝ , where A is the infinitesimal generator of an exponentially stable C 0 -semigroup. An application is also given to illustrate the abstract existence theorem.

Abstract: We use the local fractional series expansion method to solve the Klein-Gordon equations on Cantor sets within the local fractional derivatives. The analytical solutions within the nondifferential terms are discussed. The obtained results show the simplicity and efficiency of the present technique with application to the problems of the liner differential equations on Cantor sets.

Abstract: In order to implement a high-efficiency bridgeless power factor correction converter, a new topology and operation principles of continuous conduction mode (CCM) and DC steady-state character of the converter are analyzed, which show that the converter not only has bipolar-gain characteristic but also has the same characteristic as the traditional Boost converter, while the voltage transfer ratio is not related with the resonant branch parameters and switching frequency. Based on the above topology, a novel bridgeless Bipolar-Gain Pseudo-Boost PFC converter is proposed. With this converter, the diode rectifier bridge of traditional AC-DC converter is eliminated, and zero-current switching of fast recovery diode is achieved. Thus, the efficiency is improved. Next, we also propose the one-cycle control policy of this converter. Finally, experiments are provided to verify the accuracy and feasibility of the proposed converter.

    Abstract: Conditional Lie-Bäcklund symmetry approach is used to study the invariant subspace of the nonlinear diffusion equations with source u t = e − q x ( e p x P ( u ) u x m ) x + Q ( x , u ) , m ≠ 1 . We obtain a complete list of canonical forms for such equations admit multidimensional invariant subspaces determined by higher order conditional Lie-Bäcklund symmetries. The resulting equations are either solved exactly or reduced to some finite-dimensional dynamic systems.

Abstract: Metal magnetic memory (MMM) technique is an effective method to achieve the detection of stress concentration (SC) zone for oil well casing. It can provide an early diagnosis of microdamages for preventive protection. MMM is a natural space domain signal which is weak and vulnerable to noise interference. So, it is difficult to achieve effective feature extraction of MMM signal especially under the hostile subsurface environment of high temperature, high pressure, high humidity, and multiple interfering sources. In this paper, a method of median filter preprocessing based on data preprocessing technique is proposed to eliminate the outliers point of MMM. And, based on wavelet transform (WT), the adaptive wavelet denoising method and data smoothing arithmetic are applied in testing the system of MMM. By using data preprocessing technique, the data are reserved and the noises of the signal are reduced. Therefore, the correct localization of SC zone can be achieved. In the meantime, characteristic parameters in new diagnostic approach are put forward to ensure the reliable determination of casing danger level through least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) and nonlinear quantitative mapping relationship. The effectiveness and feasibility of this method are verified through experiments.

Abstract: Radio-frequency identification (RFID), as the key technology of Internet of Things (IoT), has been hailed as a major innovation to solve misplaced inventory and reduce lead-time. Many retailers have been pushing their suppliers to invest this technology. However, its associated costs seem to prohibit its widespread application. This paper analyzes the situation of service level in a retail supply chain, which has resulted from misplaced inventory and lead-time. By newsvendor model, we analyze the difference between with- and without-RFID technologies in service level of centralized and decentralized supply chains, respectively. Then with different service levels, we determine the tag cost thresholds at which RFID technology investment becomes profitable in centralized and decentralized supply chains, respectively. Furthermore, we apply a linear transfer payment coefficient strategy to coordinate with the decentralized supply chain. It is found that whether the adoption of RFID technology improves the service level depends on the cost of RFID tag in the centralized system, but it improves the service level in the decentralized system when only the supplier bears the cost of RFID tag. Moreover, the same cost thresholds of RFID tag with different service levels exist in both the centralized and the decentralized cases.

Abstract: A nonlinear model predictive control (MPC) is proposed for underactuated surface vessel (USV) with constrained invariant manifolds. Aimed at the special structure of USV, the invariant manifold under the given controller is constructed in terms of diffeomorphism and Lyapunov stability theory. Based on MPC, the states of the USV are steered into the constrained terminal invariant manifolds. After the terminal manifolds set is reached, a linear feedback control is used to stabilize the system. The simulation results verified the effectiveness of the proposed method. It is shown that, based on invariant manifolds constraints, it is easy to get the MPC for the USV and it is suitable for practical application.

Abstract: A model predictive control (MPC) is proposed for the piecewise affine (PWA) systems with constrained input and time delay. The corresponding operating region of the considered systems in state space is described as ellipsoid which can be characterized by a set of vector inequalities. And the constrained control input of the considered systems is solved in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). An MPC controller is designed that will move the PWA system with time delay from the current operating point to the desired one. Multiple objective functions are used to relax the monotonically decreasing condition of the Lyapunov function when the control algorithm switches from a quasi-infinite horizon to an infinite horizon strategy. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. It is shown that, based on LMI constraints, it is easy to get the MPC for the PWA systems with time delay. Moreover, it is suitable for practical application.

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the singular LQ problem for irregular singular systems with persistent disturbances. The full information feedback control method is employed to achieve the optimal control. By restricted system equivalence transformation, the system state is decomposed into free state and restricted state and the input is decomposed into free input and forced input. Some sufficient conditions for the unique existence of optimal control-state pair are derived and these conditions are all described unitedly with matrix rank equalities. The optimal control-state pair can be explicitly formulated via solving an algebraic Riccati equation and a Sylvester equation. Moreover, under the optimal control-state pair, the resulting system has no free state.
